Hi, just wondering for those of you who have bought from Ali Express and Temu in the past..have you discontinued doing that because of the tariffs? I stopped buying from both sites. I've noticed Temu has indicated some products are in their LOCAL warehouses (USA). It may appear they won't charge "tariffs" if you buy those specific products. However, it seems dies & stamp sets have doubled or tripled in price and you may not earn free shipping unless you spend minimum $30 from ONE seller. If you've continued to buy from either or both sites, what are you thoughts and have you had to pay "tariffs" on your purchases? Hope to hear from you soon and thanks for your replies. I still miss Joann's and don't think Michael's nor Hobby Lobby has stepped up (unless you're looking for fabrics, etc.). ![]()

I had never purchased from them anyway and I'm certainly not starting now.
I purchase from SB.com (mainly albums), ACOT, and Scrapbook Generations. I get basic supplies (adhesive, trimmer blades, cardstock) from HL or if I go into the city, Michaels. But my main source of supplies continues to be the used market although I'm also purchasing more digital products to print and fussy cut.

Never shopped at either. Zero desire to, especially due to how often products are rip offs of other companies.

I never bought from them, but I mostly shop my stash these days, anyway.
I started supplementing my stash with digitals last year. Not only do I get instant gratification, I can print and cut what I need immediately and keep on crafting. Not needing to worry about tariffs, though, is definitely a bonus.

I have never purchased a single thing from either one of those sites and I have no plans to do so in the future, tariffs or no tariffs.

Never bought from either. I have bought generic stuff like basic dies from Amazon.

I shop the same places as Linda as well as warehouse sales at Echo Park and Simple Stories.

I have purchased dies from Temu. I wanted a wave set of three dies that the manufacturer wasted $75 for and I couldn't stomach that. I figured I didn't need it. About a year later, I saw a similar three set die. $10. I bought it. It looks different, but I am sure they got their inspiration from the original die set. I looked at dies a few weeks ago and they were more expensive. There are times that they just use the same pictures for their dies that they have stolen. Clearly they aren't concerned about getting in any trouble.

I recently made a couple purchases from Aliexpress after stopping in March when the first tariff flip flop threat was made. While the prices have risen drastically I have not had to pay any additional money when my packages got to the US.

I do - because the shipping rates from US to Australia are astronomical. Often it costs more to ship than the value of the item

I've only shopped at Temu once and I don't plan on shopping from them again. It's just not a good interface.
I buy from AX a lot. I get a lot of stocking stuffers from them. I would never buy clothes because I wouldn't be able to exchange or return.
I don't typically buy scrapbooking supplies though. I've picked up a couple of stamps but nothing I recognized from a US designer.
Their prices are clear and I've only had a couple of issues. Both times I got a refund. It's good for stationery and random stuff with cats (cat shaped tongs, cat pencils, cats on socks).

I have not purchased since the tariffs thing. When I tried the shipping was so outrageous, I just stopped all together. I'm not playing the game of trying to buy from one vendor or local this or that. I can do without really.

I don't think I've bought anything lately --- the last item I bought was a set of Queen Elizabeth and her corgis dies. While I love the dies, there are a ton of pieces to die cut and glue and there's no way I have enough of an attention span to finish them.
