I found a thread on the Platinum 6, but nothing on the Scout. I was thinking it would be convenient to have something smaller on my desk since my most used dies are smaller. Do you have a Scout and are you happy with it? Thanks...
ETA: Not looking for an electronic machine because when I finally upgrade to one, it will be bigger sized one.

I personally wanted a smaller die cutter that was platform-less. It seemed like it would be quicker to pull out and use without the kachunk of opening the platform and setting up a base. For that reason, I chose the Hero Arts Compact Cutter. I have an irrational hatred of the Scout because when Spellbinders took over Hero they discontinued the CC (and replacement plates) with ZERO notice and just sort of slipped the Scout into its spot on the tools page of Hero's website. But I already admitted I'm being irrational about it.
I believe I have seen positive feedback on the Scout over on the cardmaking sub-board. If you're looking for a small cutter with a platform I can't imagine it could possibly be a bad choice!

Not familiar with the Scout but I have a Gemini Mini that I use ALL the time - because like you, I'm often grabbing smaller dies. It doesn't use a platform - it has a folder.

I think I’ve seen quite a few creators on YT use the Scout and love it. I think Simon Hurley has talked about how it has the same kind of rollers as the Platinum machines. Of course he has a line with Spellbinders so it’s not an unbiased review, but I haven’t heard anything bad about it.
Might be a good time to buy before tariffs go up, as per the discussion about Spellbinders livestream. It sounded like they’re going to lose the exemption they have had mid-month, although who knows if things will change again.

I have one and use it all the time. Very handy, just the right size works great with the SBC Magic Mat.

Funny- I just this past hour bought a Scout! My LSS had them on sale and I decided to jump on it. I hope it's worth it. I ADORE my gemini jr, but it is a pain to put the whole thing thru for a tiny circle or small shape.
They also had the platinum 6 on a good deal, but that's the same as my gemini so I sat on my hands and didn't buy it.

I’ve had my Sidekick for years but never liked the lack of a platform or the small cutting area. Bought the Scout the minute came out and couldn’t be happier. That extra 1” of width along with the longer plates allows me not only to be able to cut some larger dies but I can do one pass with a number of dies versus multiple passes with the Sidekick.

I'm looking at this on scrapbook.com and now I feel like I need to buy it since it's on sale and you can use the 12% off coupon, which in turn leads to to adding other things to cart. I still have my Cuttlebug and it works just fine but I really like the size of this one. I'll have to set my computer down and walk away for a bit before committing.

While I don't have this particular one (I use a different "mini" machine), having a small die cut machine sitting on my desk has been a game changer for me. I rarely make the effort to use the bigger machines as most of the time, I don't need to. I've gone from barely die cutting, to die cutting regularly when making cards. Having easy access to a mini die cut machine has made me actually use my dies!

I went ahead and bought it because like jediannie said, it's on sale and you can use the 12% off. And I wanted to get the free sun glasses die and the black foam tape and that expires today. Yay me. It's so cute!

I got one for the same reason - wanted something smaller to keep right in front of me. I love it. I have tried other smaller/mini machines and the scout just feels right. It's very sturdy and feels stable.

I thought about it a while back but it really isn’t that much smaller than the Platinum 6. Besides having to stand up to load my dies into the machine is good for me if I’ve been sitting for a while. Also, I wouldn’t have anywhere to store it.

Also, I wouldn’t have anywhere to store it. But it definitely is smaller than a Big Shot, which is what I have. It will never die, so there's that. Good point about standing up is good for you. I have a standing desk so I do both sitting and standing. Maybe I should be doing some marching in place to get the blood flowing.
