SBC Fest is back! It looks like there are a few changes, (some trimming) and they listened when we asked for more homework! I really like SBC Fest for a couple of reasons; first it is a free day of classes and instruction which is always nice. They usually do a mix of cards and scrapbooking-as seems to be trending it is a heavier on the card making, with only one scrapbook class this time. Also they usually have some great sales or a discount code or a really good freebie. With some online events costing a lot (although there is value in that too I know) it''s nice to have something to plan for that I can do and shop my stash for the product. I like that everything is announced ahead of time, so I can prep and pick things I own to craft along. Here is link to the info, beside each instructors name you can see if there is homework or not. If there isn't I just try and assemble the kit and see if I can do a bit ahead. www.scrapbook.com/event/sbc-fest-fall-2025Do you think you will attend? Live or on replay? What do you think of them doing Friday only this time?

I'm baffled by the Friday! I've not been home to participate the past couple of events, and I'm not motivated to watch on replay. I thought I'd finally get to do this one but I'm working of course. So if there is a lot of chatter hear about one of the classes/projects, I will watch that one, but otherwise probably not.
I agree with you: I love the sales/freebies around this event, and I love that they show you well in advance the supplies that will be used. I'm pretty sure I could cobble up supplies from my own stash that would be close to what I needed, and that's a fabulous bonus. The only thing I didn't like when I tried to watch on replay in previous events was 1. geared more towards a beginner, we're not really the target audience and 2. the amount of advertising. But even tho I don't like those aspects, I completely understand the necessity from an online store's perspective!

If they were only going to do one day, it seems like Friday should have been the cut. Wonder about the availability of the instructors maybe?

I don’t watch the live one. I like to be able to fast forward or pause if I want to.
The one thing that irritates me is that you have to move fast to get their own products since those sell out fast. I actually had to wait 6 months for several things to be restocked.

Based on the products shown, the classes that are interesting, I can pull from my stash. I have done one SBC festival, and ordered some of the kits. This time I am going to hold on more purchases.

Ok, I am super confused. Had anyone else watched Simon Hurley's homework video? Unless I am missing something, he shows the product for the class and then proceeds to make two cards, which he tells us are not the cards he is making for SBC Fest. No where that I could find in the video did he tell us what we need to do to get ready for SBC Fest. In Kristie M.'s homework she shows us the product and then tells us what to have prepped, (as well as giving us a PDF). Very strange...

I don't know that SBC fest has had homework before . . . so the directions to the designers might not have been specific? I noticed that too with Simon Hurley's video.

I ordered Becki Adam's kit. I really like her work, and the kit is such a good value. I also ordered a kit from last year, Laura Graff's, the one with the rabbit. It's a cute die set and a great price for the bundle.
I really appreciate this event, like others have said, I can shop my stash or buy a fairly-priced bundle from them. The projects can be very beginner-ish, but I can work with that.
