... Versafine ink was what I used when I had ink pads. ... ... What makes [VersaFine Clair] different from the original Versafine please? Like you, I'd used the original VersaFine inks with a palette of 12 (now 10) darker, muted, earthy colors since its introduction in 2004 before converting to VersaFine Clair. As stated upthread, VersaFine Clair debuted 24 colors in 2017 as a reformulation of the original to yield more & brighter colors, less drying time (while still embossable longer), & improved packaging; 12 colors were added to the palette last year for a total of 36 colors. VersaFine comes in both full sized pads with hinged lids & 1" cubes, while VersaFine Clair is only available in full sized pads with removeable air-tight lids; both offer re-inkers. As an example of color difference/comparison, note VersaFine - Onyx Black has a brown undertone vs VersaFine Clair - Nocturne with a blue undertone - see HERE (note image found on Google/not mine). HTH.

I don't have any inks. What brand would you recommend please? That would only be for stamping images or words. I'm. Not a big stamper, but 8'd like to have a few ink pads still. ... I exclusively scrapbook & currently use VersaFine Clair, a quick-drying, archival, pigment ink that yields saturated color, crisp words, detailed images, & is still embossable minutes later! For tone-on-tone stamping & heat embossing (with Ranger Super Fine Detail EP), I use VersaMark, a clear, archival, pigment ink that also captures fine detail. HTH. Thanks!

It really doesn't seem like the world needs a whole new line of inks specific to 49&Market. Unless I'm missing some unique property to these inks. The dies & stamps seem more marketable but I'm not interested in the ones on offer so far. Thanks for showing us PaperAngel.

... And the dies are fine, but rather standard? The dies & stamps seem more marketable but I'm not interested in the ones on offer so far. Agree. Plus, the designs do not coordinate with their collections. For example, the Poinsettia Trio Die/Stamp Set is not the same style as the poinsettias in the Mistletoe & Memories collections (e.g. Icon Die-Cuts).

Thanks for your responses. I don't use dye inks or need stamps/dies, so nothing is added to my wish list from this release.

Oh that VW Beetle!!! So cute!!! I’m sorely tempted, but will try not to buy. Boycotting means sacrifices, after all. But darn!
