On Stars. The Outlander prequel. Anyone else watching? I’m loving it so far.

I just recently renewed my Starz sub bc they had a deal for $3/mo for a year if you paid for the whole year at once.
So I'm still catching up on Outlander before starting this one, but I'll definitely watch it!

I did really like it! It was beautifully filmed, but maybe a tiny bit slow.

I want to watch but need to see if we have Starz or the easiest way to sign up. DS and I wanted to watch the Ballad of Songs and Snakes (Hunger Games movie) and it was only on Starz. I had to renew and they offered me a couple of deals, one was $2.50/month if i signed up for the whole year (so, $30), and I took that, figuring I would catch up on Outlander and BOMB. ![]()

I’m waiting for more episodes to be ready, but my DD is watching and loves it. She’s impatient for me to catch up so we can discuss.

I'll probably start this soon. I got bored with Outlander and didn't finish it.

I watched both episodes and I am loving it!! I am just a show watcher, never read the books, but I rewatch Outlander on a monthly basis, pretty much. 😂 Happy to have something new. And my brain is working hard to keep track of everyone.

I enjoyed it! It was a bit slow, but I think they are just setting the foundation for the story, so I don't mine.

I'll probably start this soon. I got bored with Outlander and didn't finish it. I thought I was the only one. I do plan to finish the latest season but I just wasn’t enjoying it like I used to. Well I will give it another chance and if I don’t get into the episodes so be it and I will give up. I’m hoping this new series is good but am waiting for more episodes.

Can someone explain to me the storyline? I mean, how can it be a prequal?

one was $2.50/month if i signed up for the whole year (so, $30), and I took that Thank you! I was reading this thread yesterday to see what was being said. I had canceled Starz earlier in the year. I think I had it through Amazon Prime. As I scrolled FB later yesterday, the $30 a year special popped up. Why not? Now I don't have to wait and binge the series, then remember to cancel.

I'm becoming irrationally annoyed that I settled for $36 when apparently a week later it is $30 😡 (It's not the money, it's the point of the thing!)

I am so sorry! This is what usually happens to me. I just grab something and call it good. A few days later, I always see something better and kick myself. ETA: Oh and to make sure no one misses a savings, if you have Youtube TV, you might be able to get a $10 a month "gift". I had signed up for YTTV after getting rid of Dish. A month or so after getting it, someone posted on another spot I visit a gift. You had to go into your "manage plan" setting and scroll down. It took a couple of days for mine to finally pop up but I did get it and snatched it right up. I get $10 off through the end of the year. It was a 6 month offer.

Can someone explain to me the storyline? I mean, how can it be a prequal? It's the story of Jamie's parents, Brian Fraser and Ellen Mackenzie, and Claire's parents, Henry Beauchamp and Julia Moriston. Set both in 1916 and 1714. We get to meet young Colum, Dougal, and Jocasta Mackenzie, as well as Murtagh and a lot of others. If you loved Outlander, it's pretty cool IMO.

I liked it. I’m not crazy about the Julia/Henry storyline but I loved Brian/Ellen story so far. IMO, nothing will ever top Outlander.
