My sister has over 1,000 sets. She has to live in assisted living now and her DS is trying to sell the collection, or as much as someone will purchase. The shakers are physically located just outside of Houston, Texas. If you are interested, let me know and I will give you his contact information in a PM.

My mom collected salt and pepper shakers, and when she moved into her retirement residence last year we sold them because she had no place to keep them. She was happy to get a couple of hundred dollars. 😊

My Mom collected salt and pepper shakers. I took pictures of all of them. Our two children kept some as well as some for us. We gave a few to friends and sold all the rest to many people. We then donated the money to different charities.

My SIL was a collector also - she probably had hundreds as well. I'm not sure what happened to them - I imagine that some were kept by her kids/grand-kids, some may have been sold, but I suspect many ended up donated. I know they weren't in MIL's apartment when we cleaned it out - SIL was living there when she passed and we cleaned out the apartment a couple of months later when MIL went into the ICU for a month and then into hospice. I'm sorry about your sister. I hope she's able to keep a couple of her most treasured ones and that her son is able to sell the rest of the collection. leannec - lovely!

I always see cute S&P shakers, but what do you do with them? Do you change them out seasonally? Do you display them seasonally? Or display them all the time?

Mine are obviously only displayed at Christmas! They sit in a Rubbermaid bin ... individually wrapped in tissue paper ... for the rest of the year!

I have a small collection…maybe 30 sets? I don’t currently have a place to display them. Looking for the perfect cabinet for our current house.
