The clapping for Putin and the 'red carpet' made me sick.

His smiling and acting all silly around Putin is gross, especially how he treated Zelensky.

So trump failed to end the war - again - and Putin is like the cat that got the cream having had the red carpet rolled out for him without having to concede anything.

I so hope that peace can come from this (or something) and NOT with whatever land swapping crap the Trump thinks Ukraine should relent to. I agree with Hillary, I would support him getting a Noble Peace Prize if he could broker this. But alas I feel I am going to be sadly disappointed…but as a never say never I won’t give it up completely. This incident at the summit is what has me shaking my head already. This came from an NPR story and included pictures of the 2 of the documents (ones without names and and numbers) and, if true, again show what disregard this admin seems to place on security and protocol. Accidents can and will happen to all administrations, but Trump seems to think more than any administration, IMO, that he is invincible and these little indiscretions are nothing or not worthy of criticism. Papers with U.S. State Department markings, found Friday morning in the business center of an Alaskan hotel, revealed previously undisclosed and potentially sensitive details about the Aug. 15 meetings between President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir V. Putin in Anchorage.
Eight pages, that appear to have been produced by U.S. staff and left behind accidentally, shared precise locations and meeting times of the summit and phone numbers of U.S. government employees.
At around 9 a.m. on Friday, three guests at Hotel Captain Cook, a four-star hotel located 20 minutes from the Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage where leaders from the U.S. and Russia convened, found the documents left behind in one of the hotel's public printers. NPR reviewed photos of the documents taken by one of the guests, who NPR agreed not to identify because the guest said they feared retaliation.

I had no real peace expectations from this meeting as I know that Putin can outsmart Trump anytime. I did think we might hear some kind of pro Russian proposal. It was all very vague, the usual we have a concept of a deal. In the end it was another excuse not to place sanctions on Russia. I do think Russia may have something on DT. I wouldn’t put it past DT to accept somekind of a bride. Another plane? A golden Trump Towe in downtown Moscow? It was a real success for Russia, Putins little speech was an ego booster for Trump and all his talk of common goals bla bla blah was a bit disgusting yet eerily accurate at this stage of our history.

NPR articleHow do you supposedly leave documents on a public printer in a hotel that no one from either the US or Russian delegation stayed at? According to the Anchorage Daily News these people were staying in college dorm rooms and the Alaska Airlines Center.

I guess that he’ll have to find some other way to earn the Nobel Peace Prize. We’re lucky that it is not based here, because I have no doubt that he would call members of the committee and demand it.
Anyway, besides the obsequious kowtowing to Putin the war criminal, looks like yesterday was another nothing burger.

So I am waiting, and thank you for the information that no one from the Trump administration stayed there or used any of their rooms and or equipment. I did do a search and didn’t see any other reports at this time. I can say I am wrong you know. 😂😂

"Vladimir Putin, smart guy, said you can't have an honest election with mail-in voting," Trump told Fox News Channel's "Hannity" after a nearly three-hour meeting between the leaders in Alaska. "He said there's not a country in the world that uses it now."
The way he talks about Putin is ridiculous. I have no doubt that Putin has stuff on him. You know Putin was lapping this up. Putin knows exactly what to say and how to play to his ego. It is pathetic and embarrassing. How anyone expected anything to come out of this is beyond me.

I hope US Secret Service examined the Presidential limousine very carefully, more than once. I would not put it past Putin to have left behind a bug (listening device) in the limo.

That limo ride struck me as extremely odd. Putin easily could have planted something there while Trump was kissing his ring. I loved the image I saw of Putin holding onto trump’s gigantic tie like a leash.

Putin must be thrilled to bits to be seen as so welcome by the US despite being wanted as a war criminal by so many countries.

That article was spot on. This “meeting” was nothing but a pathetic attempt by trump to look important. It is an embarrassment to the United States, a triumph for Putin and a kick in Zelenskyy’s face. I hate this timeline and wish nothing more than for trump to be out of office and for us to be a proper country again. Honestly, I would rather DeSantis or Vacationing Vance or Cancun Cruz were President. Because at least if they acted in the obsequious way trump is they would be called out and wouldn’t have excuse after excuse made for their actions.

He has something on FF and I would bet he threatened him. From what I read it’s not normal to invite someone into the presidential limo as it’s incredibly top secret.
This whole thing was so bizarre.

Whatever you read was not accurate. Several world leaders have traveled in the U.S. presidential Cadillac, including French President Emmanuel Macron, former Japanese Prime Minister Shinz Abe and former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev. The Mexican president also rode in ‘the beast’ with Biden.

That said I still think he has something on FF which is completely unrelated to riding in the beast. The meeting cut short and just the demeanor of those involved. It seems strange.

So now Trump is saying it’s up to Pres Zelenskyy to ‘get the deal done’ and suggests he accepts Russia’s proposal. This of course means surrendering a large area of Ukraine which Pres Zelenskyy has always said he won’t do - because - why should he, Russia INVADED! But of course that leaves the way open for Trump to say ‘Well I tried to help, he didn’t want to do the deal…that’s down to him, what can I do?’
