I had an awesone cat who drooled when she purred. It wasn't a health condition or anything as she was healthy. Maybe her teeth had a gap. It always cracked me up and it wasn't a lot.

Some cats are just droolers. I have never had one that did it as a result of a health problem. Enjoy your new kitty!

Happy birthday to your new kitty. My friends who adopted cats made their adoption dates the new kitty's birthdate. That is kind of cute.

We had a healthy cat who drooled when he was happy and content...no medical issue.
Best of luck introducing your new kitty to your home. It can be stressful for both cats and you...but it will all work out. Having gone thru this recently, my advice...don't force it and go slowly.

My youngest boy cat drools more than a bulldog, but he's healthy. It's just him. My eldest female has had teeth pulled and now drools a bit when she's really happy and puring. They're both fine.
Im glad you're adopting another cat. Your first one will love the company. I think it calms the young cats down a bit--they roughhouse with each other and cuddle more with you.
The cats will have to figure out their pecking order and will make noises that will make yu swear they are going to kill each other. Usually they won't actually hurt each other. Bringng them together gradually helps, but they will eventually have to sort the hierarchy out for themselves.

I can hear the excitement in your voice . I don't know anything about the drooling. My son's friends cat who stayed with us from June to the end of November (because he works out of town) is coming back to stay with us tomorrow. I'm excited to see her !

The drooling is probably nothing, but as long as you are planning to go to the vet anyway, be sure to mention it to them. They can take a look in her mouth to make sure she doesn't have a retained baby tooth or something.
One of ours drools so much when he purrs, it is like owning a slobbery dog. He has over sized fangs that stick out of his mouth, so I think could be why he is so dribbly.

I'm a foster for a cat rescue group so thanks so much for adopting The drooling is normal for many cats but mention it to the vet so that they can take a look in her mouth

I'd be more worried about a hissing and spitting contest between the 2 than drooling. Please let us know how the introduction goes. We tried to adopt a male cat and our #1 Minion had a screaming fit. We then adopted one of his male offspring, still in late kitten stage and it went fairly well. A bit of hissing but she got over it and now they play and sleep together.

Drooling is of then just a sign of contentment with cats. We have 2 boy cats who drool when very happy.

I have a drooler too. You have to be careful not to scratch her ears too hard, because when she shakes her head everyone gets a shower. ICK.
