That sounds pretty serious. I hope she gets through it all soon. It's nice knowing the Peas are around to keep you company, isn't it?

Pardon my ignorance here, but I'm assuming since you are waiting on her, that means she can resolve this issue herself, right? Why do they make you stay in the hospital then? Can they give her whatever medication they have given her that is helpful and let you go home, returning if it doesn't work? I know nothing about obstructions. I thought maybe they, meaning medical staff, had to do some sort of enema or something. It sounds like that's not the case and you just wait for her body to resolve it, with the help of whatever she has been given. See, I know nothing. Yesterday she had 10 doses of miralax, four suppositories and three enemas before DH took over the night shift and I went home with the other kids. They want her in the hospital because there's a risk of serious electrolyte imbalance. It's less painful to try to get everything to move on it's own than it is to do a physical disimpaction, so you play the waiting game. Had a good report from DH this morning, so it's looking like she'll be home today. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg) Amy

I know just what you mean! The Peas are a great distraction and a wonderful source of knowledge.
Here's hoping you and your DD are home soon!
