I joined TwoPeas less than a year after my girls were born - 11 years ago. They were preemies and over the years, we've had a few hospital visits, trips to the ER, and one emergency appendectomy.
Who has always been there when I needed distraction or to pass time? The peas.
So now that we're here once again, thanks for unknowingly keeping me company with all your posts. DD will be ok, she has a bowel obstruction, but she sure is taking her sweet old time with it. Glad I have this new board to visit while we wait!

Oh no! I'm glad your DD is going to be ok, but it must be worrying for you. Glad you have the Peas to keep you company (and that you have mobile signal/wifi to get on the internet!)

Sorry to hear that one of our Pea family is sick! I hope we are helping to fill in the time until she comes home, to distract you from the anxiety you probably feel sometimes.

sorry your dd is in the hospital. My dad is prone for these and I think it's the worst "waiting" game there is when it comes to health. It feels worse then having a baby!
Hang in there!

A bowel obstruction sounds painful. I hope she feels better soon. I feel the same way about the peas. I am grateful they have gotten me through some sticky situations. I will be praying for your daughter.

Thanks for all your well wishes. Hopefully she'll just be in one more night as things seem to be moving along, so to speak.
She was in good spirits all day despite the situation, so that was good.
Thanks again!

Pardon my ignorance here, but I'm assuming since you are waiting on her, that means she can resolve this issue herself, right? Why do they make you stay in the hospital then? Can they give her whatever medication they have given her that is helpful and let you go home, returning if it doesn't work? I know nothing about obstructions. I thought maybe they, meaning medical staff, had to do some sort of enema or something. It sounds like that's not the case and you just wait for her body to resolve it, with the help of whatever she has been given. See, I know nothing.

I hope your DD is well soon.
My DS's health issues haven't been severe, but he has had a few and the peas were also such a great distraction/support with that.
