We got home from Costa Rica last night, and picked up Molly from the kennel this morning. She was definitely moving slower than she usually does (she usually BOUNDS from the kennel, but this morning just walked out calmly - I didn't know she knew how to do calm), but was happy to see us. For once, she didn't whimper and whine in the car, either. You can see where they shaved her front legs for the IV drips.

As soon as she got home, she drank some water and curled up on her blanket. She was asleep within minutes. (DH commented that he was happy to hear her snoring.) We had to run out for a little bit, but when we got back, she was on her feet and her tail was wagging. When I sat down to eat lunch, she was by my side begging like normal.
It's obvious that the cancer is something that we will need to deal with, but even just in the couple of hours that she's been home, we're seeing improvement. I'm hoping that after a few days of pure R&R at home, she'll return to how she was before we left.
My sweet Molly girl... I'm just so happy she was still here when we got home!
Update: As the day has gone on, Molly seems to be getting a little better. By dinnertime, she was definitely remembering one of her favorite pastimes: begging for a piece of whatever we're eating:

We're just hoping that she continues to improve over the next few days...

SUNDAY UPDATE: You are all so sweet!
Molly was happy to be back in our bed last night, for sure. It took her a while to get comfy (it was kind of warm yesterday), but once she did, she was out like a light. This morning, she seemed even better than yesterday. She has a little bit more of a spring in her step, her eyes are looking less glassy. She does seem somewhat weak, but that's understandable after everything she's been through. But even as the day has gone on, she seems better and better. It's making us hopeful that she'll return to her pre-kennel self eventually, which is all we're hoping for at this point.
