I love tagging along when DH travels on business. I'm planning my next trip
What scrappy destinations do you recommend in the area of San Marcos, California? I will have my own car.
I had planned to visit Ever After Scrapbooks in Vista, but the internet tells me it is closed. (Say it ain't so.)
Any suggestions welcome!
UPDATE 2/27/15: Cool Scrapbook Stuff is an awesome store! Thanks so much for recommending it, Scrapper100 !
Sadly, owner Gena is having landlord troubles and will likely be closing her store in May. Shop while you can.

There is Paper Tales in Point Loma which is close to Sea World. They carry lots of cute lines-check out their blog.

Cool scrapbooks in Poway. I haven't been there in years but they used to have a ton of stuff. paper tales is also fun but small. It has a lot of vintage type stuff. There really aren't many stores left . San Diego used to have tons of stores. I think there were almost 20 at one time and now just these two. Of course I moved and there are no local stores to me.

Paper Tales looks cute! Thanks, goodkitty! Since it's near the airport, I will likely stop in there before I head to San Marcos. Scrapper100 , I've been looking online at the store called Cool Scrapbook Stuff. It looks wonderful, and it's an easy driving distance from my hotel. I think it will be a fun place to spend a day. (Or maybe two days.) I've also happened across The Making Place in Escondido. It looks interesting. I'm not sure I'm cool enough to shop there, though Thanks for the recommendations!

If you don't live near a hobby lobby there is one in Temecula. It is near the freeway. It is about 30-45 mins north of San Marcos. I also really like our Joann's which is close to there as well. I never understood why any one would bother with Joann's until I went in this store. It is hit or miss but if I am in the area I stop in. Some days I find way too many goodies.

Glad you enjoyed cool scrapbooks I think I need to make s trip down before they close. It is too bad as I think with her closing it only leaves one small store in Pt Loma in all of San Diego.
There are no good stores near me now and I have to buy on-line or do big box stores luckily the big box stores up here are nice but are not as good as having a good LSS.

I am saddened to read this. I had hoped that location would be her last move.
