I'm a democrat in Washington, but I do live on the conservative side of the state, so I'm a minority in my area.

Yes. I am a red girl in a blue state. If I lived on the eastern side of our state I'd be with the majority but overall the west side has such a large population blue wins out.

Yup, that exactly. I'm looking very forward to the state not being in the hands of the Koch brothers!

I'm in a purple state... Went Obama in 08 and Romney in 12. The city I live in is blue.. but surrounded by red! I'm a progressive/liberal. So yes... and no... This sums me up very well!

YES!! I'm a Democrat in TN and god forbid you actually MENTION that you're a democrat, like I did this weekend, because then you get the, "Krissy, No. Just No." and "Not just no, but hell no." Because it's OK to be proud to be a Republican, but it's NOT OK to be proud to be a Democrat. Needless to say, I was a bit ticked off at the group I was hanging with and it'll probably be the last time I hang with them and I'm off to go join the Tennessee Democratic Party ASAP (I was at a parade and cheering for their one, lonely car when I was 'poo poo'd.'

I agree with this where I'm at as well. In the State side, which I didn't even mention, it's so ridiculous re: party lines that they re-elected a Republican who was a known philanderer who forced his mistress' (yes, several) to have abortions so his wife didn't find out. He was re-elected because no other Republicans were running, but a Democrat was. Now, there IS another Republican running against him, therefore his campaign is a joke this year.
I'll DIE if Stacey Campfield is re-elected. Ugh! I think he has someone running against him, therefore I'm hoping he'll lose....

No...not where we live now. When we move to PA I will DEFINITELY be the minority there, based on what my friends who live there tell me.
