I haven't scrapbooked much since early spring. I was faced with a big project (gift album), bought a ton of supplies, and then realized that all the photos I took from the event I didn't save onto my computer and they were gone forever. I was so bummed. I have scrapbooked a little bit since then, but not much and I haven't been overly happy with any pages that I've done.
Well, for the first time in years, I went to see a fireworks show last night. I didn't take any photos of the fireworks. In fact I only took one photo all night, one of me and my mom sitting on the lawn with ice cream waiting for the show to start. My mom doesn't take pictures you see. So the fact that she sat still, let me take the picture, and actually SMILED. Well, it's probably the only picture of it's kind. It warms my heart every time I look at it. It's been a hard couple of years for her and in this photo she looks happy for the first time in a long time. It's given me my mojo back. I can't wait to sit down and scrap it!
