I'm working steadily and will meet my goal of being finished by January 15th. I opened up my Canon Selphy that I purchased over a year ago and it really gave me a lift. I've become comfortable with my personal style and the freedom has made this a work of pleasure.
Has everyone else finished or do yall have completion goals like me?

I'm still working on mine too. I used pocket pages this time (Studio Calico Handbook) and my progress is much faster than putting together last year's chipboard album, which took forever! With the pocket page album, I should be done within a few days.

I like your goal of completion by January 15th. May have to follow your lead. I have a few more days to print out my pics and then just journal.

My pics just came today (snapfish). I finished four layouts so far (I'm doing 8x8") I have all my supplies together, so I'm just going to finish my album at a fun and comfortable pace, so I enjoy it and it's not a chore. It'll probably be done by Valentine's day. Probably.

Just picked up the last of the photos for days 25-31. I'll finish up tomorrow. It's so huge with photos now! Really jazzed about finishing and giving it to DD.

As I've sorted through scrap stuff, I decided to combine several years of December memories as we have some annual traditions that I don't feel the need to devote a whole page to, but instead to show the progress over years of us at the same event. And as I'm still waiting on some photos to arrive, I decided to wait and devote a month later in the year to all things December. For now, I have a big box where all photos, memorabilia, and holiday themed scrap stuff are being tossed. (And meanwhile I'm knocking out a bunch of those almost finished vacation albums so they can get out of my scrap space and on display!)

I literally finished last night. I also want to make some pages for my main family album so now I need to tell the bigger stories from December in 12x12 format. It will be Christmas until Valentine's Day in my house!

Congrats Jeanene! You are my inspiration. I worked on it for about two hours last night and it felt great to see the progress.
I used a WRMK 8x12 album with pocket pages. My photos are mostly large because I like them to tell the story but it's still quite a bit of work. I can't wait to see my finished album; it will be quite an accomplishment for me.

Go go go!!! It's so worth it to have it done. You can do it!
And yes, using pocket pages was so much easier. Last year I did all mini layouts and I felt like I had to re-invent the wheel each time. This year it was about half/half.

I am finished. Hindsight is so instructive, isn't it? I learned so much about my process for completing such an intense project. The album is stunning with its detail of family, friends, daily life, holiday fun. So diverse in its pages and photos. And while I won't do next year's so detailed, I feel like it was all worth it when I see DD and DH looking at it often. I do not have a decorated cover, though. Not sure how to decorate it yet. I might just glue on some flat embellishments and some ribbon and charms. Its worth is in its inner pages.
Thanks for all of the inspiration and camaraderie, ladies. It helped so much to know others were working on making the month of December full of documented memories!

Congrats to all the early starters! I haven't started. I often don't do my album until the following September/October. This year, I am in the mood to work on Christmas stuff, but I can't get my pictures editting and formatted for printing because of a pre-Christmas laptop failure It will take me a whole day to get pictures and programs in the right places, and I haven't had the energy to do that yet! Stupid computers!

I have my pictures printed and day 1 done. I'm usually finished the first week of Jan. Today would be ideal to work on it, as I sit here wasting time. I think because there's so many pocket pages this year, and I didn't go that route. So I'm having to look for inspiration through traditional scrapbook pages and mini books. I'm not giving up, it's my favorite project every year when it's finished.

It's still a work in progress, but as long as I'm doing a little bit each day, it'll be finished (hopefully by the end of January).

I just finished mine yesterday. I don't worry about it too much. Last year, I didn't finish until November of the following year. I just put the photos in the pockets and put away until I felt like doing December photos again.

Still working on mine, I have about 5 more days to finish, but that includes Christmas Day which will be a double page spread at least.
This has been such a fun project for me. It's my first attempt at a DD, and both it and my 30 Days of Thankful has rekindled my interest in scrapping. I am already enjoying looking at my completed pages, and I enjoyed seeing your pages and progress updates.
I need to get up off the couch and work a bit more on my DD.

I finished on Saturday.
I did an 8x8" album, and kept it fairly simple. I repeated a lot of the same elements, kept it to one paper collection.
This was my first time doing it (I did a variation on DD, starting the day before Thanksgiving to New Year's day - but not doing every day, just the ones I wanted to).
I love my album. I keep looking though my album. It means so much more to me than just getting pretty pictures on paper. I look and see the pic taken on Thanksgiving night when my kids waited up for me because mommy had work. they all agreed to take a family pic when I got home. I was still even wearing my work clothes. Haha. I love looking and remembering. Things were hectic. Not all the pics are portrait studio perfect, but they are real and they happened, and we were all together for them.
Thanks to all the refupeas who kept each other going during our DD.
And keep going to all the refupeas still working. Whether your album is done tomorrow or next November, it'll be worth it.

I'm so glad to see that I'm not the only one still working on my December Daily! I actually blogged about my progress on DD today and have only 3 days + the cover left to finish the album completely. I can do it...I can do it...I can do it... My goal is to be finished by the weekend; I think that's a reasonable plan.

This is strike 3 for me. I realized that DD is not my thing.
Year 1 (2012): Started off great and by the end of the second week, it was over. Plus, it turned into more of "Ghosts of Christmas Past" than a current album.
Year 2 (2013): My biggest success. It was just a Word Document where I journaled something every day, with the intention of going back to scrap it in January. Well, the best part was reading it this year. I liked the journaling, but it never got scrapped.
Year 3 (2014): (Or should I say strike 3) I decided to call it "Holiday Happenings" and not try to document every single day. I started the Journaling again in the Word Document, but by the time Christmas Day came, (and the most active parts of the holidays) I didn't write anymore because I was too busy. I went back after the fact and filled in, so I captured the big things.
I watched the NicholeJones911 videos on YouTube and just loved them. I wish I could do something like that but know it is way more than I can every come up with. Maybe I'll print the journaling from the Word document and call it my version of DD.

I'm still plugging away. I went back to work last week and have some pain management issues that slow me down. I'm off tomorrow so maybe I can wrap it up this weekend.
I'm still enjoying the process. Seeing what others are doing / have done is so inspiring.

I am still working on a blanket I'm crocheting for my daughter. I started this project six years ago? My daughter will be seven next week and I am less than half a roll away from FINALLY being done! However, my brothers and my husband still don't believe I'll finish it

I love reading about everyone DD but I don't do it I scrap a few holiday memeory pages instead because I was realy great about making the albums and pages and never added the journaling or photos....I finally realized that I just like the holiday memories in my regular books. So carefully wrapped and gifted my completed mini album to some friends with lots kids and no time!!!!! Best idea yet!!!
Good luck to all of you, I find it inspiring how you follow through and finish!

I'm glad I'm not the only one - I feel SO much better! And now the stupid question of the day. I've been using the Simple Stories albums 6 X 8 and I love that for DD. Stupid question is - do y'all trim your papers to 6 X 8, or is there any type of paper pads out there that are already that size? I've googled and, unless I'm just a bonehead, I haven't found anything. (hanging my head and going to heat up my coffee now...)

I used a similar size album. When I wanted to use the page protectors, I just cut the paper to fit inside. If I wanted to do more of a collage style, I made the paper 1/2 wider so I would have room to punch the holes.
Some were smaller to add some variety to it and some things I stuck in there with the basic grey things (I forget what they're called but they are genius plastic things with holes in them).

Yeah, I also used the Simple Stories Snap 6x8 album for my DD and cut my paper and cardstock to size for the various page protectors and/or pockets, along with a set of holiday cards. I like the size, better I think than the 8x8 which I used for my 30 Days of Thankful. I wish there were 6x8 paper pads. But I'm glad that there are 8x8 pads.
I'm almost done with my DD, two more pages to go!

Excellent! Mine is still the covers I made for it. I think it is going to turn into a Holiday Hilights album, though.
