Does anyone ever use the senior discount at Michael's? A friend just told me about it today. She thinks it's 55yo and older. I'm going there today, so I am going to give it a go!! lol!
Does JoAnn's or Hobby Lobby have senior discounts? |

Well, duh! I had no idea! After looking it up just now, it appears to be 10% off your purchase. The usual exclusions (Silhouette, Cricut, Rainbow Loom, and nearly everything else) apply. I guess it would depend on if I am buying a bunch of small items, or a big item as to which discount (40% off coupon vs. senior discount) I would use.
ETA: a Google search found that JoAnn's has a senior discount of 20% off your entire purchase on ONE Wednesday every three months. It looked like Hobby Lobby may have had a 40% off coupon for seniors once a year, but at a quick glance, it looked like all their other weekly coupons.
I was surprised how many other places offer senior discounts. Obviously DH and I need to be asking for the discounts more.

Jo Anns sent a permanent discount for veterans or current military members. It has to be in the store. I forget what the discount was. I will have to look it up. I will probably forget

It isn't one set day here, it's all the time. The 20 year old male clerk just told me about it last weekend. Um I am not 55, I am 54. One day 20 year old clerk will be 54, or 55  . And for the record, everyone I meet doesn't believe I am that old, that I have 26 and 29 year old kids and that I am a grandmother. However next year, I will for sure take advantage of the discount . |
