I am considering the cricut expression machine. I have the original cricut and about 50 cartridges. Will I be able to Use those in the expression?
If you have the expression, tell me what you do with it.
Talk me into this machine basically. LOLA
Thanks!

I have the Expression 2. All of your cartridges will work on it. I love mine.

I have both expression 1 and 2. The larger Cricut just widens (literally) the project possibilities. If you already have the cartridges, it's not much more to own the expression.

I had heard they are starting to phase out the Expressions.. .not sure if that is true or not though.
Why not go with the Explore - you can use your own fonts and designs as well as load your cartridges to the online (online only) software.

I think it would be a lame decision for Cricut to phase out the Expressions all together, they would lose out on the crafters who do not have access to the internet. I have the Expression 2 and enjoy putzing around in Cricut Craft Room, but I hate having to be connected to the internet. If my internet fails at least I can still use my machine...unlike if I had the Explore. If they were smart they would come up with an off line version of CCR and Design Space (or whatever it is called)...maybe they will since they are launching an app for the Explore.

The E2 cuts better than the E. The E you need the keyboard overlays. The E2 has a screen to use instead. If you don't want to be tethered to the internet, look up the many differences between the E and E2. I have an E2 but jumped from the Create and never had an E. So I only know a little of the differences.\
If you don't mind having to be hooked up to the internet to design and cut, then the Explore is the better machine. I got one for Christmas. You can use other images now, not just the cartridges with it. This machine opens up a whole new world of possibilites. The Design Space App is going to be updated soon to allow designing without having to be on the internet. Though for the iPad only right now.
