We went out to dinner tonight for my birthday and had the waitress take a couple of pics. Looking at them later, a guy sitting behind us totally photo bombed with a goofy face and peace symbols. Cracked me up. Anyone want to fess up to photo bombing a stranger? L

I've never done it but my nephew does it to me when I take pictures all the time. Sometimes it's funny and sometimes I want to kill him.

Before photo bombing was photo bombing I stood behind a band during their meet and greet and would make a face for every photo.

I'm not that quick. By the time it would occur to me to photo bomb a pic, they would be done.

You're like a photo bomb hipster It you've taken more than five selfies on a Disneyland ride with your BFF and happen to be sitting in front of me, I'm going give my sons the signal to photo-bomb you while I sit there like a lady. I can only take so much.

I have, but the one that made me giggle most was when I was driving through a little historical town on my way home. There was a wedding at a church I would be driving by and they were taking photos toward the road (there was a beautiful, huge old Victorian house on other side of street). I just somehow knew that the photographer would "click" just as a drove by in the shot. So I faced them, waved and made an overdone silly smile. Pretty sure it worked. Would have loved to see the look when they saw the photo. It was just before digital was big and I'm sure it was on film, so no look and delete.
Yes, I am easily entertained.

I've never done it intentionally but my sister has. She and her 2 friends were at an amusement park and happened to run into the same family at multiple spots constantly taking pictures. They stood in the background and photo bombed their pictures for most of the day, were in probably half of their pictures. If i were that family I would think it hilarious, but I could see how someone could be upset with the excessive bombs. This was before the days of digitally cropping pictures.

I haven't, and I never intentionally would.
I know I'm the stick in the mud, but I think it's a rude and shitty thing to do to someone intentionally.

No, I am another stick in the mud. I think it's obnoxious.
However, DH did accidentally! He was at a Wild hockey game with our DD. The two guys next to him took a selfie. DH was yawning in the background. Later, they showed him he had over 20 likes on Facebook.

Yes My friend's DD got married last summer and my friend's only sibling, a sister had traveled from NC to attend the wedding. She and my friend were having pictures taken of just the two of them. I decided they needed one more sibling so I photobombed them. My friend thought it was hysterical.

If she mooned the camera, flipped the camera off or was grabbing her crotch as a photobomb, perhaps. Smiling big and cheesy and waving? Not so much.

Not purposefully. I think it's kind of rude. Sometimes it turns out hilarious! But sometimes it really ruins things.

I think doing it during a casual "Let's snap a photo" to someone you know is funny. Everyone realizes it's been done, you all have a laugh and you have the chance to take a new photo (minus the photo bomber).
But I think doing it when people don't realize the joke is happening is kind of a jerk'ish thing to do. I would be so disappointeded to sit down with our pics only to realize some stranger is intentionally in the background making an ignorant motion or expression. I think that's really rude.

Not intentionally, except to friends.
I used to work across the street from the Empire State Building and my coworkers and I used to joke that we in the backgrounds of photographs taken by countless Japanese tourists.

If they only had ONE picture taken their whole wedding day, I can see being upset. But I highly doubt they only had one picture taken. I think photobombs are funny. Repeated are not. I was at a wedding a few months ago where I was trying to take a selfie of two of us at one point and then trying to get a picture taken of three of us. One kid jumped in the picture EVERY TIME. We took about ten pictures total and he jumped in every one, after being told repeatedly to stop. We finally just gave up. The bad part is, we were the bride and bridesmaids and we only have two professional pictures of the three of us and no candids. I didn't want to ruin the bride's day by yelling at her kid as it had already been a rough wedding.

I only photobomb my 15 year old and her friends when they are taking a thousand selfies. It backfires sometimes and they post the worst of the worst on their instagrams.

My DH and I unintentionally photo bombed an entire bus full of tourists who were taking pictures of the Library of Congress. We live in the DC area, and we like walking around the Capitol grounds on weekend mornings before there's a lot of traffic and people. One morning after a run, we stopped for coffee and were laughing with each other as we headed home. When we reached the steps to the Library, he referenced a movie quote where the character pulls up his shirt. As I'm doubled over laughing and he's standing there with his shirt up at 8 in the morning, we both turned our heads to see the tour bus and the passengers at the windows with their cameras. We both froze for a second, burst out laughing again, and ran off. It still makes me giggle when I think about it, but I really hope nobody ended up with a video of the two weirdos on the Library steps.

One trip DH and I and another couple went to a very expensive restaurant and asked our waiter to take a picture. We were outside on the patio and some dude inside the restaurant decided to photo bomb us. We didn't know it until we got the picture back and unfortunately it was the only one we took. UGH! So no, I won't do that to someone else....even if I think it would be funny and they are taking a 1000 pics.

I was going to be in the photo one way or another- could not stop in the middle of the road, well traveled, traffic. I'm sure they were taking a bunch of shots to pick the best and they had to try to work around the traffic, as in when the stop light on that corner turned red. I'm sure they had a bunch of "bad" photos as they were shooting toward traffic. I did not go out of my way to ruin their shot, I had no choice and just had fun with it. Relax I'm sure that got another shot when the light was red. For the record, I HATE getting my pic taken so I wouldn't want to be in the pic on purpose, but since I couldn't slam on my breaks, I went silly.

On weddings: At my husband's first wedding, his best man photo bombed almost every single photo On Purpose!
Every family group shot he is jumping up behind them making weird poses. This is way before digital and there was no way to edit him out.
They could not even make a full bridal album. I think the photographer just gave mil the proofs.
Not really a great loss since this was the bride's 3rd wedding, so she had plenty of photos of her in a wedding dress. And husband was divorced from her a year later.

I did it once. There was a group walking in front of me and they stopped to take a photo. It was an abrupt stop and I didn't expect it so I played along. They were all drunk so I don't think they cared too much. Probably laughed at the middle aged lady photo bombing them.

My brother ruined some photos (that were supposed to be special) for me and I found nothing amusing about the situation. It would never enter my mind to do this intentionally.
