… I blogged about them today with photos of the carts side-by-side. Ikea Raskog vs Sam's knock-off
There's now a third option, too ETA: If you'd like to get the Ikea Raskog, it's apparently on sale right now for $30. I don't live anywhere near an Ikea so I tried to buy one online last night. I put it in the cart ($29.99), adding my shipping address ($10 shipping), but after putting in the rest of my information it said it was Out of Stock. Maybe you'll have better luck? Or if you live near an Ikea, maybe call first to see if they're in stock and showing as on sale. Just thought you'd want to know!

Haha they're virtually identical. Hope they've got good legal advice if ikea ever catch up with them lol

Great post! I too think the Raskog looks worth the extra $15. But here in Canada it's $70 to start, so I'm waiting to see if I really need it.
You know what I use in my scraproom?
An old, old old (?1970) TV stand, the old 2 shelf one on casters that we all had TVs sitting on when we were little (or, ahem, before we were born for some of us out there!). I love that I can store stuff on it, and wheel it where I need it!
Makes me think a Raskog would suit my style of storage/scrapping very well.

I bought the Sam's one the other day and I love it! It's the perfect color for my scraproom. Thinking of getting another one because if one is good...two is better, right? I have an Ikea about 45 miles from me, but I see no need to make the trip. The Sam's one works great for me!! In my store, they were stacked up in the center aisle.

We have a Sam's here but I don't know if it the same- it's a cheap shop right? I bought my first Raskog for $79AUD and I use it in our school library for stationary, scissors, glue etc. It gets pushed around my children daily and is still in perfect condition. One day I saw them on sale for $59AUD so I rushed down and bought 2! One is in my scrapbook room where I use it to put supplies while I'm in the process of creating layouts. This way it is somewhat neat and I can pack it all away when I am finished. The other one is in our bathroom. Top drawer has all my makeup, skincare products, haircare products that I use daily and the bottom 2 shelves store hair dryers, straighteners and basic bathroom supplies.
All of mine are steel grey and I absolutely love them. If I could find plausible reasons to buy more I would!

I can't get past the thought of them looking like something you would see in the pictures of abandoned hospitals... I can only imagine they are quite handy if you have the spot to park one, though.

loved your post about being diagnosed with Raskog envy, lol! My Ikea is not really all that convenient to get to, so we rarely go. Sam's however, is in a couple of locations and I checked and they ALL have it in stock! Uh oh! I don't really have room for a cart in my current room, tho I guess I could fill it and wheel it into the other bedroom when I'm done using it. Love the cream colored Raskog and even the gun metal gray one.
Thanks for posting about this, I had not heard of Sam's having one. I will resist, I will resist......

How about assembly (or do they come put together)? Does anyone know which is more difficult/complicated? ETA: And thanks for the comparison - it's really helpful!

Great comparison! I was just at Ikea last weekend and picked up another Raskog. Now I have one grey and one blue. I just love them! I think the one at Sams looks pretty good too but waited patiently all year until we made our annual 6 hr trip to Minneapolis for a dance competition and hit Ikea.

ETA: And thanks for the comparison - it's really helpful! coaliesquirrel I asked my friend Ann who shared the photos for the comparison. She said her husband put them together and possibly found the Sam's cart a bit easier to assemble - but that may just have been because he had already put the Ikea cart together In other words, they were very similar.

I like the Raskog better due to the sturdier looking metal, however the sharper right corners of the Sam's one are what I would prefer. I already have two Raskog carts, so no real need for me either way. I am sure whomever buys the Sam's ones will be just as happy.

Good to know.
When I bought my grey Raskog, I don't think it was available online, but I was able to get a store in a neighboring state to ship it to me. I want to say the total cost was around $61.

Awesome deal on the Raskog at $30. I wonder how long they are on sale for. My IKEA is 30-40 minutes away and I almost never get out there....

Info I don't need!!! I've resisted so long, and can almost justify the cute little bigger now on a non scrappy capacity. IKEA is way too close... Dilemma

For those that can get to an Ikea, be sure to check if floor models are on sale. Someone posted on another site that she was able to grab 3 floor models on their way downstairs at something like 19.99! Kind of makes me wonder if the are coming out with a new version.
