Happy Friday ladies!!! I hope that you've all had a wonderful & successful week! My week was good and I stayed focus, unfortunately the scale didn't cooperate and my total loss for the week was a whole whopping .2 lbs Disappointing for sure, but it is that time of the month so I'm sure I"m retaining some water. Hopefully next week I'll see a better loss. Today is grocery shopping day. I made my menu and list out yesterday. Here's what my menu is for the week: F: YOYO (we do you're on your own every Friday) S: Homemade tomato soup with homemade seasoned wheat croutons and grilled cheese S: chicken teriyaki casserole M: salads with rotisserie chicken T: beef roast with potatoes, carrots, & onions W: stuffed italian peppers with leftover roast beef concoction T: turkey breakfast sausage, eggs (egg whites for me) and toast We had chicken 4 days this week and I heard complaints from the peanut gallery. I have to say that I'm proud of how much of my shopping is done around the perimeter of the store. The few items I buy from the inner aisles of the store are canned veggies and a couple of snack things for the kids. I'd say that 90% of what we buy isn't processed. Now only if it weren't so expensive. LOL I'm hoping that I'll feel up to a workout this afternoon once I get home. I'm feeling really tired this morning...my eyes are burning like crazy. Hopefully I'll feel better as the day goes on. Have a great day ladies!!

'Morning healthy peas!
So, the yoga last night was. . . interesting. Thankfully, I used an app. They have classes at my gym but I'm not quite ready for that level of humiliation. It was bad enough that I had to witness it. Let's just say, I'm less flexible than I thought and leave it at that. I am making a pact with myself to try to continue to stretch.
Today's daily challenge from my gym: I think this one will be a bit easier than the yoga.
In other news, I made it to the gym this morning at 5:45 where I did deadlifts, lat pull-downs, shoulder press, lunges and planks.
Meals today: Breakfast - Spoonsized Shredded Wheat & Bran, Coffee and a protein shake (just added water) Lunch - greek yoghurt w honey, raspberries, walnuts & hemp hearts Snack - Quest bar Dinner PF Changs
Hopefully, between the gym today and walking at lunch, I'll have enough calorie deficit to cover a good scoff at the restaurant.

Morning!!
Headache is still lingering a bit today, but not near as bad as it was yesterday afternoon.
We are such "fly by the seat of our pants" eaters - whatever I find in the freezer is dinner. DH does the grocery shopping - I circle the ads and make notes for things I want, so it goes pretty well. I had to stress finally to STOP buying frozen stir fry veggie mixes - they are so yucky. If I want stir fry I'll use fresh! Buy frozen cauliflower and broccoli please....geesh
Today for me will be fairly simple - another smoothie for breakfast, eggs for lunch (with spinach & mushrooms & cheese) and probably chicken for dinner.
Busy cake afternoon for me though. And when I'm downstairs working, I often forget about getting food....probably not a good thing!

Morning Ladies! Well I was tired and had a headache by the time I got off work, so skipped gym time. Breakfast today is a Belvita, Greek key line yogurt, and an apple. 8 pts Lunch is a Pita pocket with tomatoes, turkey, sprouts, and avocado slices, and two clementine's. 9pts Dinner I'm not sure yet. Maybe leftovers from last nights veggie stew. Or go out.

Headache here too. I think my house it too dry and I need to get the humidifier going. It's suppose to be warm today so I may skip the gym and take a walk. My body needs a day off.
I have started picking up a shrimp cocktail tray for the weekend. It is low fat, no carb and the cocktail sauce is super flavorful. It helps balance the large Off plans meals.

It's my late day to go into work and somehow I'm running later than planned! I think when I have a less structured morning, I try to squeeze in too many extra things and it causes me to rush in the end. Yesterday was good. I didn't make the dinner I had planned but still ate well, nonetheless. That's the 2nd time this week and I don't really want to let that become a habit because before I know it, I'll be switching plans to give myself permission to eat carry out. And that's a no-no! And I'm off! Will try to check in later.

I had kid drama and didn't exercise at all yesterday, but am spending my lunch hour doing some interval walking/jogging. And then can enjoy my soup at my desk. I didn't plan snacks well today, but I'll push through. I think I have a frigo light cheese head in the office fridge. Good day to you all!

I stayed at school and got caught up on long overdue paperwork. So I ended up doing a lite workout at home instead of lifting and cardio at the Y. I had salad and a glass of wine for dinner. Not a great day but it could have been worse. I am doing an hour cardio today after work and getting to bed early. It has been a monster long and cold week. I must say that knowing I have to "confess" here keeps me at least a bit on the straight and narrow. I am not trying to lose any weight but I already feel stronger and more limber, so that's a positive.

LOL My balance sucks and I can only imagine how I looked trying. Not to mention it was tough on my joints...especially my wrists. Thankfully a friend let me borrow them to see if it was something I could do before ordering them myself. LOL I did not order them.

I'm doing pretty well so far today. I'm STILL dragging ass though. I'm frozen and just can't seem to warm up. I may have to bring out my heated throw blanket...but if I do that, then it ensures that I won't do anything productive the rest of the day. I got my grocery shopping done and everything's put away. I was starving so I ate an early lunch of low-fat Banilla flavored yogurt with some fresh strawberries cut up in it topped with some granola. And a piece of whole grain bread from Panera (I'm making homemade croutons out of it tomorrow) with some reduced fat peanut butter on it. Between breakfast and lunch I'm up to 637 calories. I have NO idea what dinner will be. I browsed the grocery store trying to find something that looked appealing and super easy and came up with NOTHING. I may have some eggs/egg whites with ham, peppers, onions and cheese for dinner. If I can convince my hubby to make it for me.

I wouldn't imagine it would be very difficult for most people. I do plan to do this on a semi-regular basis. My flexibility can only improve at this point.

Off for a walk.

I think if I can lose another 20-30 lbs, I'll ask my friend again if I can borrow them and see if it's easier. I did enjoy the actual positions and Lord knows I can use some added flexibility. LOL

TGIF! It was a work day for us (no students) so I went out to lunch with my coworkers--salad/soup/sandwich kind of a place. It was pretty good! Went to CrossFit and just had a snack for dinner--still full from lunch. It's a 3 day weekend for us so DD and I may go pick strawberries this weekend (perks of living in the south), and I fully plan on making (and eating) shortcake, with whipped cream. It's one of those once a year treats. I'll package up the leftover shortcake and send it to school with DD on Tuesday for her teacher. I used to make freezer jam every year but I don't eat it as much anymore so I'll freeze the leftover strawberries instead for smoothies.
Have a great weekend!

Hello all! I didn't feel like working out today, but I forced myself to get busy and I'm glad I did. B Greek yogurt/granola L shakeology w/ PB2 S almonds & string cheese D TJ chicken chile lime burger w/salsa & avocado on romaine leaves, cottage cheese, mixed greens salad w/sunflower seeds, evoo & vinegar dressing
I can't wait for spring so I can add walking back in as well. It's been so unpleasant outside, I can't seem to force myself to get out there. The older I get the more of a wuss I am about the cold!

Good Saturday morning! I've been doing a poor job of planning my eating this week. One of the to-do items on my list today is to plan my eating for next week. Tell me it gets easier with practice?
