So, I'm curious what you all use for the background part of the project life templates. Do you use a different fun colorful pattern for each page? Use only white for each page? A mix of neutrals or solid colors? For or the past few years I have used a combo of solid colors and patterned papers for my page backgrounds. If it's a week with a holiday, or a big holiday month (like December), I'll try and pick patterned papers to go with that holiday. But, looking at my books they look messy and uncohesive. . If you use patterned paper, do you do anything to make the pictures stand out away from the background more? Do you make sure your cards and embellishments always match the background papers? Thanks for your help!

Last year 2013 I used colors that went with my photos for 2014 I used a white textured cardstock. I love the simplicity & that all the pages are consistent.

I always use a white background and save the patterns and colors for the journal/decorative blocks.

I guess I'm indecisive -- I use a white mat on a patterned paper background. I like the white to make my photos pop, but like the design element of having even that little bit of patterned paper showing, too.

I always use a white background and save the patterns and colors for the journal/decorative blocks. I do this too. I like the clean look and now that I am making pages both with the app and in Photoshop, I hope the pages won't look too different from each other.
