So, I'm curious what you all use for the background part of the project life templates. Do you use a different fun colorful pattern for each page? Use only white for each page? A mix of neutrals or solid colors?
For or the past few years I have used a combo of solid colors and patterned papers for my page backgrounds. If it's a week with a holiday, or a big holiday month (like December), I'll try and pick patterned papers to go with that holiday. But, looking at my books they look messy and uncohesive.

If you use patterned paper, do you do anything to make the pictures stand out away from the background more? Do you make sure your cards and embellishments always match the background papers?
