It seems I am going through a 25 oz bottle every 2 weeks. Either I am using too much soap or it isn't working as well as it used to! Anyone else going through a bottle at this same rate, just curious .

Forrrrrrrrrrever. But we have a dishwasher, so we only handwash a handful of things.
Seriously, I had the same bottle for over 3 years. A few drops seems to go a long way for me.

At least a couple months. We just wash pots and pans by hand though. Everything else goes in the dishwasher.

We have a dishwasher too, but I don't wash the silverware in it as it doesn't clean them as well (hard Texas water and bad DH basket design). Plus, I don't put any cookware in there, so I had to handwash things every other day, at least. Maybe I am just over-washing things and wasting soap ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/OrTI4SBmZ2ZYSFv6ag4f.jpg)

I think about a month. I'm not sure I just buy one when it looks low. Now I'll have to pay attention just out of curiosity.

We have super hard water, so we have to rewash some stuff sometimes. I think it is part OCD and OMG GERMS!. Maybe it is just the bottle of Palmolive that isn't cutting it for me. I need to go back to Dawn ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/OrTI4SBmZ2ZYSFv6ag4f.jpg)

I use Dawn and that size lasts about a month. I hand wash dishes 99% of the time! rarely use the dishwasher for just the 2 of us.

I get the really big bottle of Dawn at Sam's so mine lasts a fairly long time. I don't put pots and pans or knives (do NOT want to knick or dull the blades!) or large bowls that would block too much of the water stream (my OCD kicking in). Sometimes I will was a few extra things if my top rack is full and the bottom rack isn't as full. I also use Dawn and vinegar in the handle/sponge thingie to clean the shower.

What do you mean by not working as well as it used to? Many places have banned the most common sudsing agents so you won't get the mounds of bubbles you may be used to. But, the lack of suds does not mean it doesn't work. It should still cause a softer water tension and cut the grease.

Sorry if I wasn't clear about that ☺

Ours lasts 2-3 months, because we use our dishwasher daily. I wash our pots and pans and knives by hand, and most light plastic.

Ok, I am concluding that I am using way too much from what everyone is posting. I don't know what. Rand of soap you're using, but I find the really cheap ones run out very quickly for me. If I buy Dawn or Palmolive, it lasts wayyyyyy longer (of course it costs more, too!)

My bf brought a bottle of palmolive with him when he moved in last year. He had bought it when he moved to our city about 3 1/2 years ago. It is still 1/2 full so I will say FOREVER!!
The store brands definitely don't last as long.

To clarify, the brand I have been using isn't cutting the grease. Sorry if I wasn't clear about that ☺ When was the last time you replaced your sponge? As sponges get old, I notice it becomes harder to clean dishes. These are amazing sponges - I love them. They don't get all nasty like the yellow and green ones, seem to dry quickly. Totally worth ordering (I don't know if they are sold in stores?).

I must use too much soap too. I use the dishwasher mostly, but still seem to go through a bottle about every 6 to 8 weeks. I use it on pots and pans or extra large bowls and such.

We have a dishwasher, so I would say about 6-7 months. I will wash pots and pans by hand, but it seems like a little goes a long way.

My dishwasher is broken and since fixing it is pretty far down on the list of the things I need to spend money on, I am washing by hand-consequently, I am going through a whole lot more dish soap than I did previously.
I don't know how quickly, but it sure seems like I keep running out.
