Did anyone watch yesterday? I stumbled upon them in the afternoon - had no idea they were doing craft shows yesterday.
Did someone post here and I missed it?
Did anyone buy anything?

I recorded the shows and skimmed through most of them last night, except for Anna Griffin who's not my style. I didn't see anything worth buying. The program guide said Lisa Bearnson would be on but I don't recall seeing her (it was late and, like I said, I was skimming).
What I saw was WRMK tools, 3 Birds stuff, Brother Cut and Scan, etc. No Project Life or recent new major lines which is what I look for.
There was a 3 Birds pack of Bazzill that looked like a great deal but I didn't bite.

I DVR'd a few of the shows but it seemed to always be showing the same stuff and nothing really caught my eye. I like Anna Griffin but her stuff is just not my style. It was nice to see scrapbooking shows again. Hopefully it will give me a kick to get moving with my own scrapbooking.

Lisa B was on presenting about the Silhouette, then she showed some sticker collection. She was on twice or maybe a third time with the card crafting or craft essentials show. I like Lisa B, but she seemed a little frenetic in her explanation of the new Silhouette.
I didn't buy anything as I already have a lot, but I was tempted by a big sticker collection by 3 Birds company. ? ? ? not sure of the name? ?
I agree about Anna G, it's pretty, but not my style. I also agree that all of the shows were pretty much a repeat on 85% of the product. Also seeing the constant update about the Rhonda Shear control panty (girdle) every 10 minutes was a bit much.

All of the above. LOL I really wanted to see Lisa B demo the Silhouette, but she would start something and jump around so much it was hard to follow her. It looked like a nice bundle and with easy pay, I was tempted but decided to wait. Anna G's not my style either, but I did love the embossing she did with the heart shapes. I could see myself using those, but I'm really wanting an electronic cutter, so I hesitated on purchasing those even though I like them. I'm sorry I missed the Brother Cut and Scan. I read that HSN is going to have the new Cricut Explore Air in February, possibly as a "Today's Special". I hope that means there will be other crafting shows that day as well!

Good to know I didn't miss anything really good, lol.
I'm another one who likes Anna Griffin, but it really isn't my scrappy style (2 boys and all).
I'll keep checking in February, hoping for another craft day!

It was a very subdued crafting day. I always tune in to see what Anna is doing because it is such beautiful work and she's a sweetie. My husband came in one time when I was ooohing and ahhhing over one of her layouts, and he was all in favor of my buying whatever they were selling right then.
My response: "No way. That would look totally stupid with photos of you eating at McDonald's on vacation and doing cannonballs into the swimming pool."

I love the Anna Griffin card kits and bought the new pop up kit. I've made her Christmas card kits for the last five years and they are gorgeous. Over and over, I have friends say that my cards are the only ones they save. I did like the 12" cuttlebug folders that score the paper to make banners and rosettes. The demo on the Brother Scan and Cut was really interesting...seems like a real breakthrough in technology as you don't have to hook it up to a computer.

Today, I almost cried. We have all encountered others who do not understand our hobby...snarky remarks like "you must have too much time on your hands" and things like that. I just attended a gathering of about 150 people from the rv park where we spend summers. They meet each year for lunch at a restaurant once each winter to stay in touch. Gloria, an 87 year old very frail lady, slowly made her way to me relying on her cane. She hugs me and said, that card I made her two years ago is still on her refrigerator as it's the prettiest one she's ever received...thank you, Anna Griffin...
