I know, it's a cold time of year to be thinking about ice cream.
Do you have an ice cream maker that you love and use often? I'd like to hear some reviews. I don't really have any model in mind. Just trying to research a little before the weather warms up.

I have the Cuisinart one above with an extra bowl and love it. The only negative I would give is that I have limited freezer space and I don't like keeping two bowls in the freezer but that's my own issue, not anything to do with the machine.

Ditto what Kerri said above. I end up never using mine because I don't have the freezer space to keep the bowls in their all the time and I don't plan well enough. If I want ice cream, it's usually an impulse decision.

We have the Cuisinart one shown above as well as a bigger one that requires ice and salt. The bigger one makes better ice cream but I like the Cuisinart for quick batches.

Thanks for the recommendations. I was eyeing the Cuisinart one, so I'm glad to hear the good reviews.

I also have the Cuisinart and it works fine. But it does take up freezer space and I rarely think to use it. Maybe I should check out a recipe or two

I have the kitchen aid attachment. As for the soft serve machine, get some dole whip mix and go to town.

I have the Cuisinart. I love it, and have made some delicious ice creams and sorbets that I would have difficulty finding in my local stores.

Another Cuisinart owner here. I love mine. Don't get the extra bowl if you are short on freezer space. One bowl is fine for most uses and if you need two batches, you can always plan ahead and make it over a couple of days. It makes the ice cream quickly, but it tastes best to us if we make it way ahead of time and let it freeze until hard before we eat it. My kids love homemade ice cream sandwiches with home made cookies and ice cream.

Another vote for the cuisinart one. They usually get them at Costco and then go on coupon and they have the best price around. Be careful with the bowl though even a drop from a few feet will crack the plastic and render it unusable It was cheaper to buy another machine at Costco than another bowl elsewhere.

Amazon has the bowl for $20 right now. I thought it was even cheaper on the cuisinart site when we bought our machine but now it's $30.
