Do you make cards to create or make cards for someone specific?
If you make cards to create, what do you do with any extra cards you have created?

I have all the intention of making cards specifically for an event. 90% of the time, I use my stash of premade cards, and that is why I have a stash. I do feel so much better when I can tailor the card for the person, but this is one of the those things that I typically save for the last minute. I really need to manage my free time better.

I do a little of both! The ones I make just to create and put in my stash. Lately I've been playing along with a lot of challenges and I try to tailor my card to the recipient. Since most of my relative's birthdays have passed I've moved back towards scrapping a bit more!

Both.
In an ideal world I would make a specific card for each person and each event. But due to work, mandatory OT, family obligations, etc. I keep a stash and only get to make specific cards on occasion.

I would like to get to the point where I have a nice stash of cards made up in advance that would be appropriate for most of my friends/family. I used to make custom cards for everybody/every occasion, but that isn't going to happen anymore because I don't have time for that. I always end up thinking about it two weeks before someone's birthday (when I don't have the time) and then completely forget about it until the day before when it really should have been in the mail already.

I do some of both. Birthday (male and female) and anniversary for my Sunday School class I make ahead. I make custom ones for family birthdays, anniversaries, etc. I try to keep a stash of sympathy, thinking about you, and get well. Other occasions I usually end up doing at the last minute.

I do both. Sometimes I forget and it's good to always have cards handy.

I do both. If I have no one to give the cards to when I make them, I store them until I need a card in a hurry and haven't got time to make one. I don't make a ton of cards, so I don't usually have that many to store at any given time.

I've been making cards since I was a very little girl, and I've never made a generic card. However, I'm an artist and illustrator by background, so I admit, that's just how I work. I know not everyone has the same abilities. Now that I am a digital designer, I still do cards individually, only on my computer. My favorite thing to do is use old photos, or modern photos that have been altered in a funny way.
*That said, the only exception to the rule is Thank You cards... I might create a generic design and have them printed. But birthday, get well, new baby, wedding, etc, I tend to make them specifically for the person.

I do both. I would like to make each one specifically for each person but sometimes there is just not the time. So I have a stash.
Many of the cards in my stash are all done except for the sentiment which I can add at the last minute. That way the cards are generic until I decide which occasion it will be used for.

I make them for specific events. However, I want to get to the point where I have a stack of ones ready made cause I'm always in a rush when I make them.

I always make a cards with a specific person in mind ... and that's my problem. Too many times I find myself scrambling at the last minute to make a card! I keep saying I'll create a stash of generic cards, but that has yet to happen!

I usually make only for the occasion but I really want to create a stash. Plus I would love to make for organizations that need them as well.

I'm another one who makes cards just because I love to but at the same time will make cards for someone specific. I keep all the cards I have made and aren't ready to send out in a basket.

I make cards for specific people. I like to tailor them to fit the person. Like of someone likes a certain color or is into certain themes..I made one for someone that is a seamstress and her card was related to that.
I do want to start making random cards to have on hand and also to use my stash up.

I do both. For specific people, I have the list of birthdays and cards are made in November for the next year. Christmas cards are usually done by May. I do swaps but I make all the cards alike at the same time, and send them out in their time. I also have a stash. I have donated to OWH when the stash needs pruning.

I do both as well. I like to have cards in my stash because I don't always have time to create something specific. I also make more than I actually send because I just enjoy creating or playing along with challenges etc.

I make them for fun but since I usually make four of each I have had good luck selling them. At work and at a hair salon. And some craft shows. But my jewelry selling friend took them to the shows for me.
