Good afternoon ladies! I remembered, albeit a little late, to start the thread! Saturdays are always busy because dh is home. It snowed a bit this morning but we trudged out to the dump anyway. I had a TON of stuff to put into the free area and a bunch of clothes to put in the salvation army bins. We did that and came home and discussed school projects with the kids. The horrible stars aligned and all 3 kids have projects that will be due soon. Ds's is due this week so we have to focus on helping him get his done first. So we made up our list of supplies we're going to need to do the projects and are going to hit Michaels this afternoon. We're going to be leaving in about an hour to head to a birthday party that's about 30 mins away. The girls were worried that we weren't going to go because it was snowing. But the snow has stopped for now and we only got a few inches...not enough to keep us at home. I'm doing REALLY well with eating today...the scale went down a little bit from yesterday. But admittedly, I didn't drink hardly any water yesterday. I drank 3 or 4 cups of coffee but only about 8 oz of water. Out of everything related to fitness, I struggle the most with drinking water...or really anything for that matter. I just don't feel thirsty ever. I think my gauge is broken. Anyway, breakfast this morning was 1 piece of whole grain wheat toast, 1 egg, 1/4oz ham and a grapefruit. Lunch was 1/2 cup yogurt mixed with strawberries and topped with granola and a few pecans. I'm TRYING to drink water and have my Bubba cup right near me trying to sip a bit here and there. Dinner tonight is pork chops, rice and steamed veggies. Have a great day ladies!!

Today is going well. My walking is done and now just working on laundry. This weekend I am working to get back on track with my water. Have not been getting enough in the past week. Have not made plans for dinner. Probably just some chicken and a kale salad.

You have snow and here I am feeling chilled in 60 degrees with 25mph winds. Lol!
My cheat treat for the week was fro yo with DD after soccer and a trip to the park to take some baby announcement photos for some friends.
When we went grocery shopping we hit the local produce place to snag all the fruits and veggies we needed for the week and scored a huge tub of organic spinach for only $1.99!
Later I'll make up a batch of marinara sauce with leftover puree/paste from the bbq sauce I made last week. I add mild Italian sausage, peppers, garlic, and onions (plus a whole bunch of spices) to it. To eat it I'll heat it up, then add a bed of spinach and a handful of grated parm on top.
I think one of the tricks to water is to find the right way to like it. I'm not a straw person, but that works for some people. I like mine cold, with lots of ice, in a Tervis.
Have a great weekend!

Hey girls! I didn't know if we'd have a Sunday thread or not, so I figured I would chime in here today. Maybe we could do a weekend thread instead of a Saturday and Sunday thread. Seems like most of us are busier on the weekends and don't have as much time to post. Just an idea. My week has been really good. Eating has been on point. I've gone to step class twice but I only did a strength workout once. I'm going to my first spin class today and expect to be sore from that! Looking forward to trying something new, but I won't lie, I'm a little scared too. But in a good way! I did a mid-week check in on the scale and was frustrated to see I was only down 0.4#. I know I shouldn't get onto the scale like that. It messes with my head! Anyway, I went to work and saw a friend that I don't see every day and she said that I looked thinner and she could really tell that I'd lost a few pounds (she knows I've been working hard this month). So that made me feel better. I guess my overall goal isn't to weigh a certain amount, it's to look and feel better. I need to remember to keep the focus on the prize not the number! It was a great reminder not to let the scale be my only gauge of success. Have a great rest of the weekend, ladies!

I like your idea of a weekend thread Miss Ang It definitely seems like many of us aren't around much! I did REALLY well yesterday with eating...until dinnertime. I literally had NO snacks yesterday between breakfast and lunch and lunch and dinner. And thankfully I ate light during those meals. I took my daughters to a pool party (bday) and resisted pizza (one of my many weaknesses) and cake. Since the girls had already eaten, we decided to stop at the new Mexican place in town and I got a steak asada salad. It was SOOOOOOO delicious! I roughly figured out the calories as best as I could...and it came up to about 950 calories!! Even with that, I kept within my calories but ate about 300 calories more than I would in a typical day. It was absolutely delicious!! Today I have a bunch of stuff I want to get done. I want to make some cinnamon bread for the kids and some muffins to freeze. DH is making his Guiness stew for dinner so all I have to do for dinner prep is make the mashed potatoes. I think I'll skip the potatoes though and just have the stew. We'll see if I can resist. LOL Have a great day ladies!!

I'm good with a weekend thread. Heck, I'm good with a weekLY thread. LOL. I usually check the board at night and by then nobody is posting and then there's a new thread so I don't want to bump the old one so I just don't post at all. LOL
I'm doing really good with my workouts, tracking all my food (which hasn't been great but has stayed within my calorie range) and decent with my water. But my scale isn't being very kind so far. Sigh....weigh in day Wednesday.

I attended a five-hour rehearsal yesterday, so skipped lunch. That gave me enough wiggle room to have a 6oz lamb burger with sautéed mushrooms and onions and Brie in a lettuce wrap from my favourite local burger place. I hit my first weight goal this morning (128lbs) so now I have to figure out what's next. I'm leaning towards losing a few lbs more before starting to eat at a surplus to try to build some serious muscle. To be perfectly frank, eating at a surplus scares the crap out of me. Anyway, I had a great workout at the gym this morning - deadlifts, lat pull down, shoulder press, weighted lunges and planks. I think I'm going commit to incorporating some cardio this week.

Finished week 1 of Les Mills Body Pump today! I'm sore - but the good kind of sore. I just prepped my lunch for tomorrow and then I made Jaime Eason's mini turkey meatloaves for the week. I have a really weird work schedule and I'm not sure where / when I'm eating my meals. Haha. Going to start on Les Mills Pump week 2 tomorrow and try hard to stay on track until weigh in day Wednesday and HOPE that some of the 4 pounds I've gained since Thanksgiving will be gone. (I actually have a net loss of 5 since then, but I was at 9). I have a goal of 20 by February 22nd (Daytona 500), which was do-able when I was down 9 in 3 weeks. But I've been sliding backwards since then.
