That's lovely! I have over 900, so this isn't really a feasible option for me. I have mine sorted by brand in three Ikea Helmers. I don't give even one shit about whether it's a waste of money, or how often I wear them. It's my thing. Also, nail polish doesn't go "bad", whether it's a cheap drugstore brand or a Chanel. You thin them with polish thinner if they get gloopy. Occasionally you may have one change color, if the pigment is unstable, but it doesn't go "bad". I found about ten polishes from 10-20 years old in the back of a closet when I moved, and they were all just fine. They were Revlon, Sally Hansen, and OPI and even a lowly Sinful Colors. Only one of them even needed thinning! Thanks for sharing Gennifer! I have a few OPI polishes that have became thick. Came I get thinner at drug stores or Sally's? Thanks Beauty Secrets brand at Sally's. I've never personally seen thinner at a drugstore. There are others, but that one is cheap and easy to find.

Ooh,so pretty!
Whenever I see someone with a big nail polish collection I want to ask them a question, and I get the chance to do so now. Don't your polishes dry up or become unusable over time? Also, how often do you paint your nails?

Gennifer! Who knew, 3 pages about nail polish! You go girl! Your shelves look amazing! And btw, I don't own a single bottle of nail polish. Well, ok, I have one. It's just a clear coating.

Wow. I think I have 7 bottles. You clearly have a preferred brand, what is it and why do you like it? Zoya is the brand I like the most. Primarily because the formula is really good... I get great wear out of it (I can go a week without chips). They also have really fantastic colors and finishes. They are also 5-free, which means the polish isn't as smelly as other polishes can be. I had whooping cough a couple of years ago, and I still have issues with strong chemical smells today. Gennifer, would you share what you use from start to finish? I am waiting on my first order of Zoya and I'l love to get a week's wear out of it. I am never able to get more than 48 hours out of a polish, which is why I wear gels. I'd like to start painting my own nails instead. ETA: I forgot to tell you how much I love your new rack! No criticism from me. Most people collect something.

Love your nail polish rack! I have lots of polish (400+ bottles) and DH built two racks for them. However, my wall space was limited so I had to go with deeper shelves and double-row my bottles. They don't look anywhere near as nice as yours do.
I should purge, but I just can't make myself do it. How did you purge 30 bottles?!

I bought my daughters a polish rack for Christmas. It is suppose to hold 150. I guess we'll see once I hang it and we start filling it up. Your collection is awesome!

That is so cool! They don't take up much space, but you can see them all at a glance. Nice job. I am envious now.

Awesome! I just do toes, but love having assortment of colors. I like Zoya too. I'm giving my toenails a break from polish at the moment, but I'm waiting for sandal weather.

My daughter is in nail school & should would love this! I can't wait to show her what you've done. I am a Zoya fan as well, & I've turned my daughter into a Zoya fan. She currently has 75 bottles of nail polish, me about 15. My daughter really likes the nail stamps, have you ever tried them? They are pretty fun!

The bad news is that this is a Brit-guy saying he'll make one....poor old Gar will still be waiting in 2017! How did you know!!! Let's put it this way....when he's finished re-landscaping the garden, bleeding the radiators, decorating the office which at this point is just embarrassing, this nail polish cupboard may be at the top of his list of chores I confess... I built this in June, but it's been sitting on the floor of my bathroom since then. I wasn't sure how to hang it so it would safely support the weight, and it wasn't until this week that I decided to add a back (for stability) and get it hung.

Did you buy the nail polish rack or make it your self? I made it. I sketched it out beforehand, to know what I wanted, and then put it together. I used prepainted wood and just nailed it together using a nail gun. The back is screwed on in multiple places, and there are blocks placed throughout to keep the individual shelves from sagging under the weight.

I saw this on Instagram this morning! (reposted by...let me look...another pea-Jenn Allyson, ha!) I'm not a huge nail polish person but I'm a fan of rainbow AND organization, so it's a win in my book! I was texting her photos throughout the process to get opinions on how to arrange.

I only wear Zoya too and have been looking for a display for them, but mine chips every day, I'm constantly doing touch ups even with the clear top coat. It looks like you have 10 black nail polishes of the same shade? I have two duplicates. (Polishes that I love that are being discontinued.) What looks black in the photo ranges from black to grey, and they are different formulas... Matte, glitter, shimmer, pixie dust, holo, etc.

I think this demands that you show us your manicure every week - with pictures! I love the set up! Most of the time I just paint them, but a friend gave me some awesome decals last weekend, so I had to use them! Here's the mani I'm currently sporting:
