Our old lady does this. I was blaming the kids until one day I saw her kick off the cushions then give me a look like "see how far I kicked them, they're way over the other side of the room now"

Mine did but she also thought they were chew toys. Sofa pillows are expensive and carefully chosen. Dog is no longer allowed in the living room.
