Good luck! I've downloaded a few onto my laptop, but my computer tells me I'm running out of space, so I need DH to look at it before I add the rest.

any particular reason you're downloading them?? I bought 4 when they had them for $10 apiece at the beginning of the year... do I have something to worry about?? I'm starting to have 2peas flashbacks, here!

They're not storing all classes indefinitely anymore, any of the old classes you've taken will need to be downloaded (for example, I took classes back when they first started and if I want to still have the instructions & such from those classes I'll have to download.)

I've only received one link for one video land am waiting for reply about classes that can't be accessed.
I've got most of the little classes downloaded, but still need to do the void ones like Photo Freesom. There's a grace period for it and the other big ones though.

I'm starting to have 2peas flashbacks, here! Dont panic! Once you have logged in, in your class list, if your class has an asterisk next to it, that particular class will be retained and moved to the new board. The rest of the classes will be online for you to access for at least 6 months (no online help for those classes without the astericks). I am downloading the classes that will not be kept indefinantly. Online support is ending Jan 31 so I thought I better get on the ball. Plus (I maybe wrong) most of the zipped class downloads are not including the message boards or the class galleries. I am downloading many of the message boards because of the information they contain. I took a lot of Cathy Z's classes and her message boards are packed with info pertaining to the classes.

Just a heads up. My pre 2008 classes were not in my list of classes and I had to email BPC to get access. If your classes are not listed there will be no online support after the 31st of Jan. so you might want to check before Jan. 30 Edited to change date from 15 to 30

wait- I thought they changed the date to sometime in June or July? They did, but IIRC they stop admin support of some on Jan 31 and same for video for those classes. They also only provided a single zip file for some classes. A few of my classes can't even be accessed. Nor have they sent links to all the videos they've said on their site. It would appear they've stopped admin support much sooner than they stated. BIG surprise? But you know, this was only supposed to be someone's hobby we were paying for. The owner never intended it to be a real company when she took our money, and she's sorry we're stressed. So it's all good, right?

So it's all good, right? Huh? Did she actually say that? I remember there being a brouhaha several years ago about leaked emails (or something similar). Is that what the fuss was about?

Well, all my classes were the free ones, but I know it's frustrating for everyone who paid for theirs.

Sassenach I'm sure im overstating it due to frustration, so I apologize. But in explaining the decisions last fall the former owner/ founder said she never intended to have a large business, her personal goal was to teach and/or inspire, not run a company. Again, I'm paraphrasing.... I'm sure her message is still on the her blog or BPC site. I understand her personal feelings, but they're a peculiar justification for treating customers poorly. She then followed it by acting as if customer indignation was an emotional response, not a logical outcome to their broken agreement at time of purchase. Anyway, dead horse already. I just wish they'd honor what they said they would do. Many of us have $100s invested, not just free classes.

anonrefugee I know. This whole situation is really frustrating. I have hundreds of dollars invested in BPC classes, too. And I have yet to receive any emails with links to download the videos. I sent them an email several weeks ago asking when I would get these emails. Their response: the person sending those emails is out on maternity leave. I have a feeling I won't be getting the emails any time soon. I was hoping to have everything downloaded before Jan 30th so I could access the "customer support" that is (not) available right now.

Sassenach, maternity leave? Oh, then we Girls will understand, right? It's not as if we have to plan ahead for our absences at our jobs... Blech. All the happy mail and cheerful talk by that group won't hide their ethics. They've had discounts and specials with new company but no way I'll support them. I want the products I've already purchaased.

I hadn't really paid attention to that kind of stuff from BPC, but I don't doubt that it was said / did happen... and really?!? She didn't want to run a company?? Why not just close it, then, or sell it to someone who will run it like a 'real' business??
And of course, the fact that it's maternity leave makes crappy customer service perfectly excusable, doesn't it? because it's about a baby, after all-- why should we expect proper service when there's a cute, wittle, itty bitty baby involved?!? (snark intended... I'm in a bad mood today.)
eta: I bought the 4 $10 classes at the beginning of the year, but that was pretty much totally an impulse buy-- I don't think I'll be buying any more from them. Are there any online class sites that don't have this kind of ridiculousness involved?
