You are so brave. I wish I had words of wisdom, but I do know how lucky your husband and children are to have you. To be a rock is a powerful, powerful thing. I know you didn't wish to be that, but neither did Peter.
I am sending you lots of good thoughts.

I'm so sorry you did not get the best news. God is a God of miracles, He is watching over you during this journey. I will pray for wisdom for the doctors and healing, strength and comfort for you and your husband. May the Lord be with you.

I'm a firm believer that even if G-d doesn't heal he does give us the tools that we need to cope and continue fwd. In the face of bad news it's always been comforting to know that I am not alone when I hear the words I am afraid to hear. There's a larger force at work then any of us can ever imagine and when times are the toughest that seems to be when we recognize how important our faith is to us. You and your dh are being held by a much greater power than your doctors and your anxiety. No matter what happens in the future, just remember who has your back. G-d will provide the resources to support you both through this trial, whether it's friends w/meals or inspirational sermons that touch you deeply. You're in crisis and I think that might be when G-d does His best work.

I pray that God wraps you in his arms. A friend of mine walked your road five years ago. Her faith sustained her and her sons. She is doing pretty well now. She established a scholarship foundation in her husband's memory, he was a beloved teacher and coach, and hosts a golf tournament each year to raise funds for it.
Please be open for others to be your rock, sounding board, and support. You don't have to strong all of the time. I am sending you long distance hugs from Missouri.

I couldn't agree less with that. You are strong and even though I don't share your faith I've always admired how you live it, in your actions and words here, I believe that you are strong. I will keep you both in my thoughts.

I'm not sure how to validate you through your post, but I can extend my empathy. I am sorry that the outcome is what it is and hope he responds to treatment that gives you more time together. Maybe PVM wasn't appropriate. I guess I was trying to say my heart is tender, I'm not up for a lot of questions, suggestions or dispute. Thank you for your empathy and kind words.
