Ooo, we did well this week! It's been nice but cold out, so DS and I have been hitting up the thrift stores around here looking for a desk to paint for my craft room. Haven't found an acceptable desk (yet), but I always let DS (2.5 years) check out the toys as it makes him want to come with me. Heh. I'm sneaky like that Well, this kid LOVES his Fisher Price Little People and we have CLEANED UP this week! Here are a few pictures of what we've found. Mostly at Goodwill and one other local thrift store chain.Little People Zoo. I've actually found a few of the animals for this in other thrifting searches, so that was a bonus! $1.99! It makes animal sounds Little People Main Street. Man, this was a find!!! First I saw the center section alone on the shelf for $2.99 at Goodwill. I didn't want to buy it because I knew it had come with the two side parts and thought it would be hard to find those. Then I looked down and DS had pulled one of them off the shelf and was playing with it! LOL! So I started digging and… I found the other side!!! Those were each marked $0.99. When I got up to pay, the manager said he would just charge me the $2.99 price since I had rescued the sides. LOL! That was awfully nice. It's missing all of the furniture and stuff, but we have some things that work nicely with it!
Up next is this Little People recycling/trash truck (the back opens and DS has been throwing all sorts of stuff in there. HA.) It's really cute and has trash truck sounds play when the door is opened and other sounds when the seat in the front is pushed. I think this was $.99! Or maybe $1.99. Can't remember now.
I love it when I find good stuff! Makes me want to go more and more and more But now I've hit up all the good ones and I need to let them get some more goodies in! What have you found lately?

That is awesome. No thrifting this week, but last week I got crystal wine glasses, a new Keurig, and a set of handweights for my son.

I'm in the process of glamorizing my little travel trailer. I renovated the table area into a single bed and two seats, but needed a freestanding table to go in there. I had bought supplies at Home Depot to make a table because I hadn't been able to find anything that would work in there. The supplies alone cost me $50. On the way home I stopped at the local flea market/antique mall and found the perfect size table for $40.

Not really thrifty, but I posted in another thread that I'd found some shirts on clearance that I consider to be perfect. Nice and soft, 3/4 sleeves. Got two online for $10 each and one in store for about $8. Regularly $22.50 or $26.50. Also found a new zip-down hooded sweatshirt, regularly $48, got it for $14. Oh, and I got some new slippers last week for $9 (regularly $30).

I found some nice vintage clip on earrings for thirty cents each. A beautiful cloche for $2, and some really cool scalloped edge cookie cutters that I made Valentine ornaments out of some of them, it was $1 for a whole bag of them.

Great finds, everyone. I especially like the vintage items. I love these threads! I went Thursday night to look for some decor items and photo props for Valentine's Day. I found a rose floral swag for .99. I removed the flowers and cut the petals off. I ended up with three Ziploc baggies in different shades. I used some to decorate my dining table and will use others in the bedroom. I also picked up some red napkins for $3.99, and a bag of brand new white wooden napkin rings for $1.99. They were still in their original individual packaging. I also happened across a hand-painted Bulldog wine glass, and an oversized coffee mug with lipstick design. They were $2.99 each, which I thought was pricey. But I really liked them both and haven't come across anything quite like them before, so I bought them.

Not finding much lately. I did get 6 hard cover books for $3 dollars a few days ago. 5 of them were Dean Koontz books that I haven't read and the other was And The Mountains Echoed by Khaled Hossein. I almost forgot about brand new Easy Spirit Traveltime clogs that were $3.

last weekend, I hit up three estate sales... found a pair of small silver/turquoise earrings for $2, a brown seed bead / silver / turquoise necklace for $8, a 12x12 sand painting tile for $5, and a few other things. It was a good day!
Also got a potted aloe plant for $7.50 because I could tell how much the lady had loved her gardening, and I wanted to rescue it.
ETA: the aloe plant had so many babies that when I pruned it I ended up with three plants to plant out in our yard; it also helped to make the potted plant look a lot better!
(also- I would post some pics of my finds, but I also don't want them anywhere near Heartcat's photos, lol! I love the photos of the tablescape; the perspective is gorgeous!)

Funny, I've been looking for bun feet. I found some trapezoid shaped ones. Bun feet look like buns / bread rolls. Or imagine cuties / halos blown up to a size to support furniture. Short squatty rounded edges.

Here's an example of bun feet www.rockler.com/wood/furniture/bun-feetI don't think of the ones labelled French Country as Bun Feet. - but the top two are right on. They're pften on sofas, chairs, ottomans.

A few weeks back, I found a gorgeous set of 8 clear glass plates, with little etched/frosted stars around the rim of each plate in an antique store. Perfect for little dessert plates. I paid $1 for each

A metal egg holder shaped like a chicken....Hektor is fascinated by it, so at the moment it's a big shiny cat toy. A wooden cat candlestick. V cute...will live in the garden with my other cat statues. A vintage dolls pram....metal with a collapsible material hood. it's EXACTLY like the one I had as a little girl. I got so nostalgic describing MY pram to DH, that the man who was selling it gave it to me for $5, because he could see it was going to a good home. BONUS!!!!

Oh, I give up, I can't add a picture. But the gears are hilarious and the set is typically over 30.00 and it appears to be complete.

I would love to do this, but can't even imagine the dust buildup and the maintenance of cleaning!
