Although I do not pocket scrap, I incorporate various sizes & configurations of protectors into my traditional albums to hold extra photos &/or memorabilia. My current dilemma is organizing the protectors, so they are easily identified, accessible, & occupy a small amount of space. What is your solution for storing the various sizes & configurations of page protectors? Photos are encouraged, & product names/links are welcome. TIA. UPDATE: Thanks for your replies & links. Due to clearance pricing at Target, Hobby Lobby, & Tuesday Morning over the past year, I rapidly accumulated a collection of page protectors that were kept in shopping bags inconveniently tucked away in the craft room walk-in-closet. I attempted to transfer them to albums a few months ago, but quickly realized the number of albums needed, weight, & large storage footprint were not ideal. Inspired by your responses, I (barely) fit all of my page protector inventory into an Ikea Drona box with labeled Cropper Hopper Dividers segregating the various sizes/configurations - the new/never opened box & dividers were extras previously stored in said closet. The fabric box is heavy, but will remain stationary next to my project table; the protectors are now identifiable, accessible, & occupy a small amount of space, which satisfies my checklist. I appreciate your help to resolve my page protector storage problem!

Since I don't really have a space planned for that kind of thing, I have a "dummy" album on my shelf that holds all my page protectors. Looks like all the other albums, but it's empty except for the protectors.

I probably have less sizes than you do, but I keep them all in a bright pink Iris case. I see Iris sells slim cases (that are only 1.5" tall versus over 3" tall) that might work if you have a bunch of sizes and need to divide them up. I use a sharpie to write right on my Iris cases so I know what's in each one.

I use the Cropper Hopper paper files, which they stupidly stopped making, or an empty album like aerynkelly

ummm... I don't?? Mine are all piled up in a plastic case a bit larger than an Iris Case. Once I re-organize my albums I may end up with an extra 3-ring binder; keeping them in a binder seems easier than how I have them. I also have smaller sizes, too, like 8x8 and 6x6-- they totally get lost in the huge box I have currently.

Me too. Mine are a hot mess. I know where they are but they are not easy to deal with at all.
I will be watching this thread for more ideas. I think for now I should at least put them in the rings of an empty binder. That's a start!

I have four empty albums that hold the different configurations. The first page for each different type has paper in it so I can see the different style quickly. I think I have over a dozen different styles.

Mine are just in a plastic bag, with a sheet of paper between each different set, labeled, with which protector it is. Not very scientific or special or anything, but it works for me.

I blogged about my storage system here including some photos. Long story short: They're in albums sorted by type.

I'm another one who stores them in an empty album. I have them sorted by size then all the 12x12s are sorted by type. I just have to flip through to find the size and configuration that will best work for my photos.

I had them sorted by brand and by style in an empty album, but eventually, the page protectors started to crease on the bottom right hand corner (sort of like a 3-inch triangle). There were probably about 70 page protectors in the album… so maybe it was the weight. Maybe it was because there weren't any photos or cardstock on the bottom to keep the page protectors stiff. But now, I just keep them inside 2 Project Life Big Variety Pack boxes (the sturdy box that comes with the 60-count page protectors). I have the different styles divided by tabs so I just flip to the section I want. It's not the best solution because you still have to dig through the box, but I like that 1) I don't have to open/close the rings each time, and 2) there are no bent corners.

I was getting overwhelmed by this too, so after reorganizing some other items, I had a 12x12, standing Iris container, like this, called the Scrapbook File Box. I have them separated using the Becky Higgins Project Life plastic tab binder dividers . I had those for a while and didn't know what to do with them, I didn't use them in albums, so I use them for all kinds of sorting. I just took plain return address labels, stuck to tab and drew with a precision pen the configuration of the layout for quick reference. Then just put more commonly used ones towards front. Works well, keeps them neat and out of my way.

I like the idea of having a 'picture' of the different configurations / sizes available somewhere so I know what I have. Even if I decide to keep my page protectors in the box they're in, I think I'll make a visual that shows what different page protectors are IN that box; then I might actually use some of the different / odd-sized ones!!

I have an Iris case with hanging folders. I have pictures on the tabs with each configuration of protector.

This is what I do, too. I also save the packaging, punch holes in it to match my ring binder, and put those in as divider pages to make finding a particular protector easier.

I use a 12x12 album. I keep the insert that comes with the protectors that shows the Design. I use those for separating.

I have mine in an extra album sorted by type and then I have a sticky note that hangs off of the first one for each size notating that size/type.
But I have some Becky Higgins Project Life binder dividers (mentioned above as well) that I'm not using. I got them super duper cheap when Archivers closed here. I'm planning on using those to divide them instead, I just haven't found them (I'm in the midst of a re-org in my scrap room so they are somewhere in there. Ha.) I might even cut out a little mini photo of what they look like pocket-wise and glue that on the divider as a visual reference as well. I'm pretty good at knowing what each one looks like, but there are some I don't use as often and it might be helpful to see what they look like a little better.

I used to keep my protectors in an Iris case, but I didn't like digging through them to find the design I needed. I think if I didn't have so may protectors it would have worked well.
I ended up buying one of the 3 shelf cubes from M's and stacked my protectors on 2 shelves similar to the WE ARE organizer, but cheaper. I put the ones I use the least on the bottom.
To help find them better in between each style I put a thin pice of paper that came in a bunch of the original pack. I also went one step further and took a piece of heavy card stock from the packaging and cut it into 12" and 1" wide strips. (I have a book with xerox copies of the different protectors designs I use when I plan my pages and at the front I have a master chart with small pictures of all the designs a number next to each.) On the end of each cardstock strip I stuck the number of the protector design that corresponded to my planning book using some old chipboard lettering.
So far I've been really happy with it. I can find what I need quickly and easily. The one downside is it isn't mobile.

I don't need to sort mine. I don't use pocket pages and buy the same brand all the time, in packs of 25. They sit on a shelf in their plastic bag until I need them.

Glad you found something that works. I store my loose ones in empty albums. All my PL ones are kept in their original boxes.

Great ideas! Mine are just in an Iris case. I may have to rethink it.
