Has anyone ever attended this event? It is in Cummings, GA. If you have tell me if you were happy and did you do anything outside of taking the classes with her. Was there a crop, etc. I am considering flying there since I have always wanted to take a class from her. I sent an e-mail to the store trying to get information, but have not heard back. So I will be making a phone call today. Maybe the classes are sold out or haven't been posted yet.

So I have to add a quick update. I have e-mailed the store, as well as left a message on their phone and have gotten no reply. I am going to give it one more try today and then I am going to send off an e-mail to Teresa Collins. She said she is teaching there is March and I have no patience for poor customer service.

I don't think this place has regular hours and only employs a few people based on what I've seen on their FB page.

The last few days the owner has been posting that someone is in and give the hours. The only phone number is the owner's cell. I ended up sending a message on their Facebook page asking what I need to do to get someone to respond. She got back and said she was at the doctors with her mother and would call or reply to my message later.

I've been thinking about planning a trip over there but it's three hours away. I'm afraid I'll get over there and they won't be open that day.

I will however admit to reluctance to do business with scrapbook store owners who play the family pressure card, repeatedly, to excuse poor service levels. Context: My LSS a couple of years back was run by a single Mom who felt we customers were the "village" who needed to help raise her kids. Fine if you are open and keep your promises or make some effort; not fine if you fail three times to get stuff I have pre-paid for and then avoid taking my calls. OP, seeing as I have gone off-topic, please message me if you wish to hear of a class experience with TC. Hope you get your call back. |

andi, go onto their Facebook page. The owner, Lisa, seems to be giving information daily about hours, etc. Today she posted that another employee now has a sick mother and she is short of people. So I would make sure the store is open before traveling. It will be interesting how this plays out. She never got back to me yesterday as she said she would try. I get it that she has a huge crop going on this weekend and obligations. But I think there is a point where I have to decide whether I want to spend money flying to this (which is my choice), but also spending a lot of $$ taking these classes and $$ in her store, when the service is not good. I will keep you posted.

The owner's name isn't Lisa. It is Susan. I'm going to that event. I haven't been before, but a friend went last year and talked me into going this.
The store is small but well stocked. You can call ahead to make sure they will be open before making the trip. That's what I did. I live. 3 hours away.
I hope I didn't make a mistake. I usually don't take classes that are project based. I like learning techniques that I can adapt in my own way.
My friend enjoys making projects exactly like the sample. So I may not enjoy it as much as she did.
My husband and little girl are going me. We'll use the indoor pool and have a ball spending time together, if nothing else.

I have also done a teresa collins class. Personally, I didn't enjoy it, but there were others who were thrilled?....lovely lady though.

Yes, I paid a while ago. I thought it was sold out, but you never know if someone has had to cancel.

I just saw a post about the event on Facebook. Looks like it's sold out. But there is a wait list. I'm not sure that you want to bother with that, if you have to buy a plane ticket.
