I put on the other thread about things that made me smile this weekend, about my niece singing to us all her new songs. She loves No more monkeys jumping on the bed, Isty Bitsy Spider,ABC's and her favorite Old MacDonald. She has to decide the animal and the animal sounds. My sister is very musically inclined so it doesn't surprise me that this little one is too, she just turned 2. And you HAVE to do the actions with her. But I was watching the video on Dh's phone and it made me laugh. I don't have kids so I try to get as much time in as I can when I up there with the little ones. But I could do that with her all day- I'm sure if I had kids I would get pretty sick of it! lol~ my sister tries to get her new ones so it doesn't drive her too crazy.
Do your kids sing or have favorites. I happy some of the old ones are still around.

We love the Sandra Boynton CDs. Philadelphia Chickens has a lot of songs based on many of her books. Frog Trouble is the newest one and is Country Music based. I'm not a country music fan at all but I love that album. She has a lot of famous singers/actors that sing the songs. Good listening for all.

So far she's not gotten into the Disney stuff like that yet, just MickeyMouse Clubhouse, she's learned a few from Daniel the Tiger, another favorite. She loves animals.

I picked up a Fisher Price Sunday School songs book and cd. It's all the songs I grew up singing. I can't wait to hear my little one singing Father Abraham.

The "Songs for Wiggleworms" CD was our very fave! Our library played it at story time each week so we had to purchase a copy of our own. LOVE it!

My almost-3-year-old's favorite thing to sing is the abc's BACKWARDS. I sang it to him backwards a few times just being silly and he caught on very quickly. Makes a great party trick

I can't wait to have grandkids (well, hopefully 10 or so years away yet!) so that I can pull out my CD The Best of Play School from when my kids were little. Some of my favorite songs from that CD are Wiggerly Woo, Three Little Fishies, Let's Go Walking. Also anything from The Wiggles and Hi 5. I LOVE kids music, it's so much fun and brings back such wonderful memories.

We sang the old classics, but my kids adored Eric Herman when they were little. I still get "put it in the box" stuck in my head when it's time to clean up. He does live shows at libraries, book stores, and schools here in the Northwest. We've seen him live several times and he puts on a good show.

My 2 year old loves this CD Jack Hartmann Rhymin to the Beat Vol 1 (a link to it on Amazon) There is a faster paced "I'm a Little Teapot" and "The Itsy Bitsy spider" on it that she loves. And she starts tipping her teapot as soon as she hears that one start. She also sings the "Wheels on the Bus" all day long. And they sing "I am Hap-py I am Hap-py, Crazyhare is here to-day...yah!" Subbing their classmate's names in

I love it when they can't say the words right too- they have trouble with some like another one she does Row Row Row your boat, but instead gently down the stream it's gently down the street!

In addition to your favorites, frere jacques and bingo, BA BA black sheep, ring around the Rosie (I know that's more of a rhyme, but there's a series called baby genius on Netflix that sings it) Basically if you have Netflix steaming try baby genius, there are several but there's a children's favorite songs and another one that have my son dancing for the entire video.
