Sissix is offering a new size of Big Shot, the Big Shot Plus. It is bigger than the regular BS and smaller than the BS Pro. This one has a 9" opening so it can be used with 8 1/2 x 11 paper.
Too late for me I already have a machine that can accommodate that size paper.

I don't have anything that die cuts or embosses, just a Silhouette. That new Big Shot plus caught my eye as I was browsing all of the CHA new products. I also like that it's a plain color and won't look like a toy sitting on the counter in my studio.
I'm still not sure if I would use it enough to justify the purchase, especially dies and embossing folders.

I would love to have the Big Shot Pro but it is not in the cards( lol) for me...
And like you , I like the color of it as well...
I am getting into mixed media art and thought running some of the dies and places them on my pages would give me more dimension and more use for the dies....
Love the Memory box dies...

Haven't seen it but what an amazing idea! With a Big Shot AND a Vagabond, I don't see myself purchasing another machine any time soon!

I just bought a big shot before the holidays so I will pass. Wish I had known this was coming out because I might have been interested. But I do really love the big shot!

For a company that told me I was going to ruin all my Sizzix dies by running them through my AccuCut Baby GrandeMark because the roller die machine would ruin my dies... well, they have sure jumped on the roller die cutting machine band wagon! Not only does Ellison have commercial roller die cutting machines but they now have 3 sizes of Big Shots!  And I have had some Sizzix dies for over 11 years and hasn't ruined them yet! I didn't get a Big Shot until about 2007, I cut all my Sizzix dies on the Baby GrandeMark and STILL cut more Sizzix dies on it rather than the Big Shot. I like the fact that I don't have to cut my paper down before running through the die cutting machine. Since the Baby GrandeMark has a 12 inch opening, I don't think I'll need it! |
