Umm, so I just saw a mention that Nodstrom will let you buy mismatched shoes. Is there information about this available? I am really tired of ill fitting shoes or buying two pairs to get a good fit. I have googled all over the place looking for the ability to do this. So, can someone clue me in?

I never realized this. I remember reading long ago that would match polio survivors (who often had two very different sized feet due to the effects of the disease) based on their foot sizes, gender and taste so that they could share pairs of shoes. This was long before the internet.

Aww poop. They only do this if there is at least a size and a half difference between the two feet. I'm only a half size apart. Oh well. I guess I'll stick with what I have been doing.

LL Bean will let you buy mismatched pairs for 1.5 times the cost of a single matched pair. So, not as good of a deal, but better than having to buy two pairs at full price.

My son's feet are one size apart, not one and a half, and they sell us mismatched pairs for no extra charge. I think that one and a half size difference may be an online policy. In person, they seem to have more discretion.
I bet if you went into the store and the salesperson could see the difference in your feet, they might be more flexible.
