Ok I might be weird and actually I probably am But when was the last time you actually wrote something besides your name? I can't remember the last time I wrote anything. Of course I hate to write anyway. Maybe being left handed has something to do with it I don't know.

Daily. Wrote a thank you note last night. Taking notes for work today during a phone call. Cursive is faster and smoother for me than printing.

The last time I wrote something in cursive was to demonstrate to my children what it looks like! They learn it in 3rd grade at their school, and have to write an essay in it. They are also asked occasionally throughout the year to write in cursive on assignments. But, my two oldest are at that same school and going into 6th and 7th grades and they are rarely asked to turn in anything in cursive beyond those 3rd grade assignments. -k

99% of everything I write is in cursive. I find it faster and more legible than printing. I don't find it weird that you don't write in cursive. I rarely see it anymore and they stopped teaching it in schools here.

Every work day, I write a Post-It note with my themes for my daily Instagram challenges. I also use Post-It notes to make quick notes of things that I need to remember to do for work.
But other than that, and the very occasional note that I write to my grandmother or rare entry in a journal, I almost never have to write anything other than my signature. My writing is kind of a hybrid between printing and cursive. When I write fast, it gets terribly messy. And writing slowly hurts my hand.
I'm a mess... LOL!

If not daily, it's close. I can write faster in cursive than I can when printing.

I would say that about 95% of every I write is cursive. I love writing things out. Typing is necessary for the computer and that is the only reason I ever type anything. I do not text.

Everything I write is in "my" cursive writing. (Like Snappinsami I have a hybird between print & cursive.)
I keep a journal and try to write in it daily. We just got back from vacation and we kept travel journals and are in the process of finishing writing about our trip.
Doing genealogy I write all my notes by hand. I just find it easier.

End of June? When I'm grading papers, I generally use cursive: it's faster and easier. Otherwise, though, I don't do much writing at all that isn't on the computer. I even encourage my students to bring laptops to class to take notes.

I mostly write in cursive. Sometimes I make notes in printing, but for the most part it's cursive. I like cursive writing and am sad that they are phasing it out of schools.

I usually write in cursive, or a combo version of cursive and printing.
I have to say it dismays me a little that cursive seems to be dropping by the wayside as far as education is concerned. DD went to Catholic school before coming to my high school and they had to do all their assignments in cursive. I was really glad of that.

I only write in cursive, so daily Mon-Fri. On the weekends, it's hit or miss whether I write anything other than my signature.
I will add that in my profession, everyone in the office takes handwritten notes (in any type of handwriting they prefer to use) and they sign formal documents multiple times per week (usually in board rooms where multiple people are watching). The 20-somethings in the office typically come in not even having a "signature" and they go through an awkward period while they figure it out.
IMO, it's sad that this is almost a lost "art." I know my opinion is in the minority on this board.

I can't write in cursive writing. My hand won't do it anymore. I can barely sign my name due to neuropathy in 3 fingers.

I half print and half write in cursive. I write on paper at least one word a day. I keep a pad and pen in the kitchen so that we can put stuff on the shopping list. we are weird. We have to have a written list when we go to the store.
I also write to do lists. not everyday but when I think of something that needs to be done but I don't have time to do it when I think of it I will write it down.
I also write in greeting cards. I make most of my own and I hardly ever put a poem in them. I leave them blank so that I can write a note to the person I am giving the card to.

I almost always write in cursive - any to do lists, grocery lists, notes I make. Pretty much the only time I print anything is on official forms where I use block capitals, or if I'm writing down my email address for someone. Any other time I use cursive because it's much faster.

*raises hands* third grade teacher here. I tend to write in cursive February until August. My kids are transitioning to reading it then on a regular basis. When my new group of third graders come in, I switch back to print all the time. Oddly, when I journal, I tends to be a strange cursive/print combo.

I'm another printing/cursive hybrid writer. If I'm going for neatness I print. If I'm going for speed I use my hybrid.
On a side note - I'm currently transcribing a whole bunch of diaries from the 1930's to the 1970's. The writers wrote entirely in cursive. Part of the reason for the transcription is that the diaries are starting to fall apart so the transcriptions will be used for research instead of the diaries themselves. The other reason is that I fear there will be fewer people in the future who can actually read cursive.

Another left hander here who writes little more than shopping lists and birthday cards. Gone are the days when I could tackle a 3 hour exam paper.

But if your children are that young (OP) I am probably considerably older than you so I grew up with that being the norm. Printing is slow and clumsy for me.

I tried to write a thank you card and a summer note last week that all seemed wildly weird since it was a version of cursive and print. I used print for the S, T, and R's while the rest was cursive. I used to love writing but now I hate my handwriting.

I write almost everything in a combo cursive-print font. That's me. I write a lot of notes at work. My hand writing has never been neat though and it just went downhill when I did typing and shorthand at secretarial college (now that really dates me!).

I can't remember the last time I printed anything. I always write in cursive. I usually write something every day be it shopping list,to do list, notes at work, cards, to name a few. The only time I ever print is if I'm filling forms for anything and they request that info is printed. Other than that I can't think of anything that I print.
