I have a Cuttlebug and the original Sizzix Sidekick so I have a lot of thin alpha dies of theirs that I still use. I've kept them in a tote I got from the hardware store, but it is big and bulky. Wondering what others use.

Right now I have mine stored in a rubbermaid bin because I don't have an area for them, but what I want to do is get a microwave cart on wheels and put my ZipeMate on the top, then put my dies in baskets on the shelves.

I store my thin dies on magnetic sheets in a open top box similar to a shorebox but with higher sides.....I can flip through and pull out the sheet I need and it doesn't take up a lot of space.....

The pink leather Quickutz binders...you can find them pretty inexpensively on eBay.

An Ikea 2x2 Expedit (which was replaced with Kallax) serves as a diecut station in my craft room. The QK Squeeze & Sizzix Big Kick sit on top, while the shelves hold supplies. All 2x2, 4x4, & 4x8 dies are organized in QK zip-around, 3-ring, pink binders; cookie cutter dies are stored in QK black magnetic folders; & 12x12 borders fill an orange wire locker basket that sits next to the unit. I have hundreds of QK a dies and have a combination of storage systems, but they are all in just a few cubes of my Expedit. 2x2 and 4x4 shapes are in the QK pink binders. 2x2 alphabets are in some mini drawer units I got from the Container Store. Cookie Cutter dies are in clear plastic file folders on 8 1/2 x 11 magnet sheets. Border dies are in a paperboard box from Michael's. 4x4 and 4x8 alphabet dies are in a CD/DVD binder My most often used dies are on the wall in a frame backed by a magnetic sheet, rather than glass. And my second most used CC dies and holiday sets are in the QK magnetic folders. It sounds like a lot, but it takes up about 6 cubes of the Expedit and they are all in the same spot. I have most sorted by use or theme, so they are quick to find. I'll look for some pictures. I know I had a bunch up on my Peas profile. (Pics added.) I have a few of the thick Sizzix dies and they are in a Jetmaxx 4x4 cube.

My most often used dies are on the wall in a frame backed by a magnetic sheet, rather than glass. I LOVE this idea! Where did you get magnetic sheeting that big? I have a pretty large empty wooden frame that I got last summer to use as a photo prop that I'm probably not going to use that way again. It could be fun and useful to put it up on the wall next to the counter where my Big Kick will go. I don't have a lot of those kind of dies, but the ones I have will probably be used a lot once my room is all set up. I have drawers in that same counter where I'll be able to put all of the Sizzix dies I still have and plan to keep.

It's been several years, but I think I got the magnet sheet at AC Moore's for about $30. Amazon does sell a large magnetic sheet. I have to say, I use those dies more than any other. I always have a few birthday dies up, as well as seasonal dies. I bought a piece of Masonite board to back the magnet sheet, then sprayed it with spray adhesive and applied the magnet sheet. It does help to have the magnet sheet a bit bigger than the backer board, and then just trim it down so that you don't need to be so precise laying it down. Then I inserted the magnetic board into the frame just like I would have a matted picture.

Thanks for the tips, I never think to check Amazon for stuff like that even though now I should because we have Prime that I ought to utilize more. We don't have AC Moore near us but we do have the other chains so it's possible Hobby Lobby would have it. My frame is pretty big so I'll have to see what I can find.

I have magnetic sheets on the inside of my closet doors where I store all my wafer thin dies. I got the sheets at Ms.

My collection is still small enough to fit into the Artbin tote with the magnetic inserts. Love my thin dies!

I have 2 24x30 magnetic picture frame boards above my Big Shot as well. I find this system works for me because I am a "if I see it I will use it" kind of girl.
I couldn't find big magnetic sheets when I did mine so I bought the 8.5x11 magnetic sheets at Walmart and just put those on the glass instead, it works just fine.

Find what works and go for it! I've also put magnet sheets on the back of my sewing cabinet. It had a big black back and in one house, it faced out into the room. That's where I stored my CC dies for a long time. Amazon does have some magnet sheets that are 24" wide and different lengths. Some are even Prime! You may also have luck going to a sign shop. I know Michael's didn't carry it at the time, but they may have it now. Or maybe an office supply store? I'd poke around online a bit. I didn't use the glass in my big frame (and my frame didn't come with glass). I applied the magnet sheet to the masonite and then mounted it open in the frame with glazer points. Little nails would work, too.

Mine are in Martha Stewart secure top page protectors in a standard 3 ring binder. I pop a small magnetic sheet in each pocket to hold the dies in place.

I keep my small dies in the 5 x 7 photo containers on magnetic sheets. If I am going to a crop, I can just throw a couple of containers into my bag. The larger ones go on magnetic sheets that are stored in an Iris (maybe) container that is meant to hold cards. It stores a ton.
