When you look at a craft space tour video or photos of a craft space, what are you looking for?
what jumps out at you?

I like to see the decorating, first of all. Color, style, furniture. It's fun to see someone's personality in their space.
After that, storage. I learn a lot from the innovative ways that people store all of their different items.
Third, there's the "holy h*ll, they have a lot of stuff" factor. I enjoy seeing that other people are way more out of control than I am.

I'm not really looking for anything - it's pure nosiness for me...lol That, and I like to see tidy craft rooms as proof that they can/do exist...lol
I like seeing what they keep on their desk and how they keep it... I figure the stuff there is the most used/favourite stuff... I also like to see the decor... If it's minimal, if they've made things, if they collect things... If they've repurposed a piece of furniture to work with scrappy supplies, I also like seeing that...

I enjoy seeing that other people are way more out of control than I am. Exactly this. In my fantasy world, when I get my own scrapping room I want to have ideas of fun, easy to work with colors. I'm a match-matchy girl, so this is always what grabs my attention. And like most of us, I'm always on the lookout for good storage ideas. And of course, knowing someone (or a lot of someones) out there shops more than me always makes me feel good.

I like to see the environments where creativity happens. I also like to see how other crafters store their supplies. If they use antique or vintage items for storage and/or decor, all the better!

All of the above! I'm definitely nosy when it comes to seeing how other people decorate and how they use their spaces. I love seeing ideas that reuse pieces not intended for scrappy storage and I love imagining how I would decorate it if it was mine

I look at how they have their stuff organized, what it's organized in and how it's all laid out within the room. Do they use specific work zones? If so, for what? What kinds of crafts do they do if they do other things too, and how is that stuff incorporated? I love seeing how people repurpose vintage things for crafty storage, or new things that they made over to LOOK vintage. Do they display any of their own work in their space, and if so, what and how?
I'm trying to figure out the best way to organize my hoard of stuff in my newly renovated space once I cull a bunch of the things I know I won't use. I've barely started and it's already overwhelming me because everything is all mixed up in a bunch of different boxes which makes it hard to collect like items with like items so I can decide where to put anything. Looking at how other people store and display their stuff has given me some good ideas for once I get some things sorted out.

Complete and utter nosiness.
Also, most scrappers have more than me, so it fulfills a sense of "she/he shopped, so I don't have to" for me. Especially if I'm on a freeze, or trying to remind myself why I keep things small. I get overwhelmed just looking at her stuff, I can't do that with my own stuff. It's a "keeping me in check" kind of thing. On the rare occasion I find someone with less than me, or a smaller space, I'm really curious as to how she or he has utilized their space. Did we have the same ideas? Could I use a similar idea in the future? That kind of thing.
But mostly it's nosiness. Like Trick or Treating. Candy is good, but I'm mostly here to peer into your house and see what your life looks like.

I'm always looking for new and better ways to store my stuff. For me, if it's out of sight, it's totally out of mind so I have to have my stuff out where I can see it. Trouble with that is that it can look awfully cluttered at times. So I'm always on the lookout for clever ideas that might work in my space. And then, it's the decorating / paint colour, etc. I so want to repaint my room... just don't seem to have the energy to pack everything up right now!

The environment and what type of scrapper they are. Just curious. I like to see real scrappers with real scrapbooking rooms, especially if they are a lot different than I am. I love it when it is a hobbled together sort of room with someone making do with what they have. I love to see actual product out and about and in use.
While I do like looking at good decor and organization, I've noticed that I have little interest, beyond a glance, at the perfectly beautiful scrapbooking rooms where there is little evidence that they actually scrap - even if you figure in that they tidied up for the photos, kwim? Too many unopened packages and I move on.

I love to see what supplies they have. I love to see their collection. It's amazing to me when I see 100 punches lined up, or six feet of paper on shelves, just waiting to be cut into.
My weakness is seeing wood-mounted rubber stamps on a shelf all organized. Yum.

I have to admit I do especially love looking at those rooms. I love my half a room space which, aside from having nowhere to store albums, is just about the perfect size for me, but I do like to imagine what it would be like to have some of those spaces and supplies.

I look for a space I can relate to..meaning the ones that are filled with expensive furniture/storage I can't relate to because I can't buy that kind of stuff at the moment. Don't get me wrong those rooms are beautiful and I wish I could have a room like that but at this point I enjoy rooms that show cheap storage ideas and people repurposing things to use in their rooms.
I always like to see how paper is stored. I have issues with paper storage. I like to see how people organize their desk space.

I love seeing how people store there supplies, do they have built in shelves or cupboards, use bookcases or hutches, do they have a large or small space and how do they get the best use out of that space. I also love to see rooms in beautiful colours and decorated simply and but with maximum impact.

I just want to see how they work, some people stand, some sit, etc, etc. I also like seeing how much stuff everyone has and how they organize it all. Also, some people that collect things seem to display them in their scrap rooms usually.

I'm mostly looking for storage ideas. I like to look at craft rooms that are a little messy and lived-in. Perfectly styled craft rooms don't do it for me.

Definitely looking for organization ideas, specific containers and pieces that I could adapt into a non-conventional space. I definitely perk up when I see someone has built a room that looks put together instead of just sort of sagging across a wall with all sorts of different bins stacked up -- that drives me a bit crazy. I'm always looking for ways to store stuff within reach but out of sight because I can't stand the clutter, so closets and shelves and carts are my thing. But you know, I even like the ugly or crazy room pictures because it's fun to see where other people have fun and learn more about them and myself in the experience. For example, the Frugal Crafter's crafting space -- I could never work in a room that chaotic. And yet if you watch her videos, you see there's a method to her madness and she knows where everything is, which is nuts. So I always watch her for ideas anyway. People with crazy spaces have usually tried a little of everything and have lots to compare.

When I see "perfect" rooms or spaces, I can't relate. If it looks like not much is done in the room, it's a total turn-off for me. Especially if I see lots of unopened supplies arranged perfectly in neat little rows. That might work for some people, but not for me.

I enjoy seeing how other people live. For a while I was looking for ideas and used some only to find out, that particular style did not work for me. Also, it would have taken more money than I wanted to spend to achieve the same result.
Now, I am looking to turn my room into some place I can scrap (digi and paper), work out and comfortably watch TV and movies. The desks that convert to a Murphy bed look very interesting to me.

I love the pretty rooms with closed storage. I'm one of those scrappers who needs her stuff put away, but accessible. So I get overwhelmed looking at rooms with lots of open shelving and stuff that is out everywhere. Even if it's all perfectly organized, it's like I can't concentrate on what the room owner is saying because it's so visually stimulating for me. Ha.
So I gravitate towards rooms with built in cabinets or Expedits with lots of closed containers in the shelves (baskets, bins, etc.). My room is attempting to go in that direction.
I love seeing how these closed-container scrappers then organize their goodies in a way that works for them. I've gotten some good ideas by watching!
I also love looking at how people decorate their space, especially if they use things they've made/altered. And paint colors! It seems like this is one of those things that really captures the personality of the scrapper, so I love looking at what they picked and why.

I'm looking for how they have made use of the space they have: some of the best rooms have the smallest square footage and it requires a lot of thought and planning. Then I like to see if they are organized by color, manufacturer, or product category. I am organized by color (but was formerly organized by product category) so I really like to see how other people think. I also like to see if they are a standing scrapper or a sitting scrapper: I stand and I love the tall tabletop standing worksurfaces I've seen.
I like to see a little bit of a mess rather than a pristine knockoff of an LSS. It's heartbreaking to see endless unopened packages of stuff because (to me) that means that scrapper is buying but not necessarily creating. And I'd much rather see an old repurposed piece of furniture than meticulously matched Ikea stuff or what resembles an entire section of the Container Store. Most of all I love seeing a unique space that is tiny when it comes to dollar volume of product but with a big stack of completed layouts ready to go into some albums.

Interesting question! I always love to see one large pik of the room that shows the walls, the desk/ tables, windows, and the way it's all laid out. I love clean lines and some minimalism---both of which I am NOT good at ---LOL! Great example was a lonnnnggg time ago when Lisa Brown Cavney (?) I think her name was---? I LOVED her pages and I LOVED her very minimalist scrapbook room-----since her profession was engineering, I could see that in her layouts/ her scrap room. As I said, I love to SEE rooms like that, but they're not realistic for ME---just fun to look at----! I've noticed I love minimalist black and white decor when I see it on HGTV, a movie, a TV show--- fun to LOOK at, but wow----I can't imagine actually hanging out in a large living room with vast space, say a black floor, nothing on the walls, and some white/ perfect furniture. When people post LOTS of piks of storage and their supplies, I look at a few, then usually lose interest. So for me, it's about how the room looks OVERALL.....it is SO fun to see all the different rooms, and some of the wall colors are soo pretty!!!

I like to see if its pretty or usable. If both that's best. But if it looks like they need to be getting up and walking to stuff and opening boxes it makes me tired. I have mine set so practically everything is in reach.

I like to look at the ones that are organized because you can get ideas, and it's just appealing (like looking at a catalog). I also like the cluttered, overcrowded and hoarder ones because I feel better about my space's disorganization (and it's kinda like a train wreck, how can you not look?).
