If it's a layout or sketch I like I copy it to my desktop. Then I use Picasa and print them onto 4th photo paper. I take those and put them in a project life book.

I have a four subject mini notebook from the Dollar Tree. I have each subject labeled with a different album name. Every time I think of a layout that belongs in that album, I jot down notes for it in the appropriate section, on a fresh page.

I am currently working on travel albums. I picked 25 different layouts that I have seen on Pinterest and printed them out to fit two to an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet. I cut them apart and have them in page protectors. I have kits that have paper and a few embellishments just waiting to be used. I will combine them and get busy making the pages. After we get back from the trip I will put on titles that match the pictures.
I have a notebook of titles I have seen, but my Pnterest board has hundreds of examples that I can use.

I have a notebook that I write things in - journalling, titles, sketches of layouts and even a couple of photos are stored in a little pocket at the front. I also have a folder on my computer with page ideas, whether they be photos of layouts or sketches or journalling or song lyrics. And then from my earlier days of scrapping, I have two binders full of layouts or technique ideas that I tore out of magazines. The binders I tend to use less often - mostly because of Pinterest and Youtube - but every now and again when I am completely stuck for an idea, I do pull them out for inspiration. But I am tempted to toss those binders one day so if I use an idea from the binder, I toss that page in the trash when I'm done. Too many ideas with far too little time to get to most of them!

If I'm not at home where I can write it in my notebook, I make a note of it in my iPhone. I have different lists for different things (blog, crafts, travel, etc) and keep track of ideas there.

this Pinterest pin is one I just found-- I need to start making a list myself, because I don't scrap chronologically and I need to know what stories / layouts I still want to make. I might make a couple changes to the spreadsheet, but the idea is a good one. I have a notebook I keep in my purse, but don't really use it for anything specific yet.

I pin a lot on Pinterest. I tried the notebook thing but it didn't really work for me.

i scrap chronologically so I have an ongoing list taped on the wall next to my computer. Once it is completed, it gets scratched off the list.

I use my planner, the month calendar is used for stuff like appointments, bills, and normal planner stuff and the day to day section is where I write down notes about layout ideas, maybe jot down a little sketch and then I will put a little star on the day on the calendar part so I know I've written something down.

I have 5 grandkids that I am actively scrapping for plus family events, travel, etc. I scrap chronologically also. I keep a spreadsheet with the names and events down the left side. Across the top are the years. I mark in when I have pictures printed and again when I actually get the layout done and in an album. This lets me keep track of what I've done, what I need to do and make sure I haven't forgotten anyone.
If I did this right there is a sample attached

I use the notes app on my iPad. I'm usually using my iPad when I see ideas online. I like the app because all my notes also show up automatically on my iPhone and Mac computer simultaneously. It's really convenient.

I use Pinterest for sketches or page ideas. I have a small notebook I use to keep track of pages I want to create - just a running list. I bought a set of 3 mini moleskine notebooks from Target. I decorated it with scrap paper and use that. It fits in the zippered pocket of my planner.

I abandoned actual notebooks a while ago bcz it just wasn't practical for me. I use apps and Google Drive. For more thoughtful journaling I use the Day One app. I use Evernote to keep ideas organized and sometimes add journaling there too. I try to tag notes with keywords. So far this has been working well. The Day One app you can pdf and email to yourself periodically to keep it backed up too.
I do pin layout inspiration on Pinterest or color combos, etc.
I've been scrapping a long time, so I kind of just know how I want to keep track of certain events or stories or photos. It def took me years to just sort of go with the flow and not obsess over doing it all! Good luck.

I haven't been able to scrap as much or as often as I like but I print the PDF version of LO's from pagemaps.com. I keep all the print outs in a 3 ring binder in 8.5X11 page protectors. If I choose a certain LO on the page, I'll take it out of the PP and I'll circle it with a marker and put it with the paper and embellies I plan to use it with. I then put it back in to the binder when I am finished.
