I believe the summer show is not being called CHA, that it is a smaller show encompassing many crafts and is no longer in Rosemont. Tim Holtz' blog entry yesterday gave dates for info releases on his upcoming stuff as he, amongst other industry giants, is not attending- that would cover Ranger, Ideaology/ Advantus, Sizzix, Stampers Anon and so forth.
For a more accurate report than this one from memory, may I suggest you search Nancy Nally's blog Scrapbook Update? I remember she commented on this just after your winter CHA.

There won't be a summer CHA this year. Some of the scrapbook vendors will be at a mixed media show in Utah later this month, Sierra Pacific Crafts. I got an email from Bella Blvd. that they will start having sneak peeks of their new lines on their blog starting today.

Yep, no big show by CHA. Although there is a PaperArts show in Atlanta this month, there are only about 30 vendors there, and most of them are the smallish vendors. Unfortunately, when CHA announced there wasn't going to be a show because of dwindling numbers at the summer show, the paper craft vendors shrieked a bit because that's our busy year with the holidays in the 4th quarter. BUT, when CHA chose Atlanta for this smaller PaperArts show, the vendors didn't embrace it, nor did the store owners. Atlanta's expensive to stay in a hotel and to fly into, Atlanta is clear across the country for the vast majority of vendors which makes it more expensive to have a booth, and they were charging store owners a lot more to come to the show because they were offering a brunch or something on the show floor. So, one of the buying groups (SPC) decided to try and have a show in Utah, beings that's where a lot of vendors are. I haven't heard for sure how that show is going. It sounds interesting as a lot of vendors are doing warehouse tours, etc the week of the show. www.awdml.com

Does anyone know of a site that's sort of gathering together all the summer sneak peeks and all that? I used to camp Scrappy Jedi for the CHA reveals, but she's retired!

(I have to confess that I didn't read the rules closely, and so I hope I'm not violating something major by saying the name of a website! And because I didn't learn myself those rules, I'm going to name it the goofy way ) So... scrapbookupdate dot com has a link for Summer Sneak Peaks 2014. When there was a CHA, the list would get nice and long, but it's nice to know that even when there's not a CHA on the calendar, scrapbookupdate is still nice enough to point us towards new goodies!!!

WOW...so are they showing all the fall lines at the winter show? I look forward to the winter lines more than the others. Thanks for the information.

No, most companies are still previewing their collections on their own blog, just like they do at the winter show. They just aren't spending the $10-20,000 for a booth. Some of those companies not going are directly mailing the store owners samples of the papers, etc instead. That's a lot cheaper than having a booth, and then the store owners still get to see the actual paper before ordering.
