Anyone who has been taking metformin break out in hives? ive been on the medicine for almost 2 months now and just now started to break out. and taking metformin is the only new thing that I have done. Just wondering if there is anyone else like this.

Just checked with my DH, who has been on and off Metformin for 20 years, and he said, "nope".

Metformin doesn't give me hives but apparently the blood pressure med I've used for the last 6 years does. Meaning, the hives may not be caused by something new. Old things can also cause them.
