I ordered a some ADORABLE custom made (you choose style, fabric, trim) swim suits ( the built in diaper kind) on Etsy for not potty trained grandkids; now I am trying to find 6 more suits for potty trained girls (sizes 3-8) and cannot find anything CUTE that is under $40. Any ideas?

Just looked tonight on Disney.com.
Several adorable and various styles. None were over $24.95 either! Most were $19.99.

I think Target has some cute bathing suits this year. Last week they had B1G1 60% off and I would have bought a couple of the rashguard sets if my kid didn't already have enough to get her through this year. I'm partial to rashguard or tankini sets because my kid is potty trained but she has a hard time dealing with wet one-pieces when she needs to go. You might need to define cute, what do the custom ones you bought on etsy look like?

The Lands End ones look really nice their quality of most of their items is very good. Also I thought some of the pieces looked very appropriate for young girls.

Another vote for Lands End. Their kids suits are great for that age group and they hold up very well

I buy my daughter's swimsuits from Lands End - cute styles and they hold up really well. I don't think I've ever paid full price for one. They are on sale often.

We always bought cute bathing suits at Target and Children's Place. The Target ones lasted really well. My daughters loved bikinis and tankinis the best. So many cute styles and colors. We didn't like the one piece because it made it hard when they had to hurry to go to the bathroom. But the one piece suits were really cute!
My girls are 11, 15 and 17 and still find the best bathing suits at Target. They only wear bikinis, especially the older ones, and they hold up very well. We go to the pool a lot and spend a month at the beach. We are out all day and the kids are always in the ocean and we can still usually get 2 yrs. out of the suits.

I am very fussy about swimwear for my 7yo - I won't put her in a bikini but prefer a two-piece to make going potty easier, I like shoulder straps not a halter, and I prefer coverage in the back rather than just a string. I have many demands for a suit for her.
My favorite suit has always been the Speedo tankini we have bought at Costco every year. Good fit, cute prints, good price.

I bought a lot of DD's suits from Lands' End. But found some adorable suits from CWD. They have cute things for boys too, which can be rare. And then the dresses... www.cwdkids.com

LL Bean and Lands End have cute suits.
I totally agree about the two piece suit. My DD needs one out of necessity (too tall for one piece suits) but we would get them out of convenience.

Thanks for the ideas!!! I found 1 at Lands End, the one I liked at CWD kids didn't have the size I need for that child. ANd I did find some I liked at Target, and great prices too! I don't want to mention the etsy seller because I haven't posted much here but have been around 2peas long enough to know what happens when a "new" person plugs something! LOL. I do think I will ask find out fist if she can make bottoms without the snaps/liners though. If not you've all given some great advice, and I appreciate it! Thanks for all the help!

I won't put DD in a bikini either. We bought a cute swimsuit for her on clearance at Costco at the end of the season last year in the next size up for this coming year. It came with a cute coverup for less than the price of the suit alone elsewhere. I might buy her another one from disneystore.com but since we don't need a second one immediately, I'll wait until they have a really good sale. They just had all their swimwear on sale, but only about 25% off and I'm thrifty, LOL. They constantly have sales going on and the swimsuits will go a lot cheaper well before summer is over.

I have two very air skinned little girls, ages 8 and 6. I refuse bikinis, or suits with cutouts or one shoulder. I want my little girls to be dressed like little girls, and to have some protection from the sun.
Target used to be good, but now it's all cut wierd and doesn't hold up well. The t-shirt style suits seem to be an exception to that, but those are few and far between -- I grab them as soon as I see them and don't wait for a sale. Gymboree and Children's Place tend to be cute but not too cutesy.
Lands end always seems so pricey. But we don't have a pool, so swimsuits are limited use items.

I like the suits from Carter's and from Target. I usually buy the two-piece rash guard suits for my kids. This is the first year that my 5-year old DD won't really be able to fit into the toddler section at Target anymore and their girls section is too old looking for her, so I need another option this year too. This new sizing issue is probably going to save me a lot of money at Target! ?

I found another one at The Best Dressed child! ADORABLE Kate Mack suit with pink ruffles & leopard print for my 4 yr old (5 next month) granddaughter that LOVES "yepard". Now on the hunt for a 3 yr old grandaughter that is obsesssed with green. All she asked for for Christmas was a green cup. =) There is one at Lands End that says grren, looks more teal to me but it's a cute suit, so may get that for her.
