I am donating a gift basket to the auction for the organization I work for, and while I can usually come up with some fun, different, ideas, I'm not feeling very creative. Any different ideas?

We did one a few years ago that was a beach basket with snorkel stuff and towels, and we also did a zoo package one with tickets and a t-shirt with a whine stuffed animal. These were for an elementary school, so your crowd might be different. Oh, several years ago we did a fun pool basket with chair floats, noodles, pool toys, sunscreen etc.

Not really original, but I've seen these themes at school auctions... icecream movie night gardening/spring cooking summer/water fun taco night Italian night family game night I've seen these sorts of baskets at school auctions too. Also: Basket of nail stuff- polish, remover, quick dry spray, etc Wine and cheese board GC to a hair or nail salon with a purse or hair brush GC to a party place for kids or GC for a bakery with party hats, candles, paper goods, etc Local sport fanatic- lots of stuff with the logo of the home team For the reader- bunch of books and magazines, mug & tea Tea basket with little tea pot, mug, infuser, selection of teas Coffee basket -along the same lines Crazy for candy-load it up with lots of different candy Gardener basket. Seed starter trays, pitting soil, bulbs, seeds, garden markers, kneeler cushion, trowel Mother's Day. Card, tea, teapot or mug, little book about mothers There are so many different things you could do. Also keep in mind that a basket doesn't necessarily have to be an actual basket. Use s colander for Italian night basket or a sport team tote bag for the sport fan, or wrap a box and stuff with newspaper to raie the items up to be seen.

How about a "tickled pink" basket full of anything that is pink! We did a small one for DS's GF for Valentine's Day and it was fun finding pink things to include! Nail polish, socks, lipgloss, etc.

I once did 70's and 80's baskets for my daughter's sorority auction. I wish I could remember exactly what I put in them, but they were very popular. Some things I remember from the 80's basket were movies like "Valley Girl" and "Pretty in Pink", bubble gum like Hubba Bubba or Bubble Yum, pop rocks, Ray Ban sunglasses, blue mascara, shiny lip gloss, etc. I made it girly for the intended audience of course. I remember being surprised at things that were no longer available, like Kissing Potion roll on lip gloss and wondering when they met their demise.
