Raindancer's old photos of her grandfather made me think of my own old photos of my Grandfather, and then she suggested sharing them.
SO, in order to not take away from her thread/story - how about we share them here!
Show us an old photo you love!

Here is my contribution: I love this old photo of my Papa from his army days - he was a very handsome man. I always thought he was kind of "movie star" handsome.

The first picture is my paternal grandfather in WWI. The second photo is the wedding photo of my maternal grandparents on their wedding day (grandmother is sitting and grandfather is to her right side)

I love old photos, so I'll play along. Everyone's pictures are beautiful--thanks for starting this thread!! This is a picture of my great-grandfather in 1933. The thing I love about this picture is that he has a picture of his son, my grandfather on his desk at work. Here's a picture of my grandmother from around 1926. This was taken at her sorority right before she headed out on a date.

Love seeing these! This is a photo of my great-grandmother when she was a teenager, around 1910. She is the only great-grandparent I knew, and died when I was 11. In the later part of her life she was an extreme hoarder, and unfortunately that's all I really remember about her, but I love this photo of her looking so young and pretty.

My mom in the wagon and my aunt picking her nose. ETA: See the wooden high chair with the cake and three candles? It was my aunt's birthday and my mom now has the chair.

My grandma's first teaching job was in a 1 room school. These are her students. ETA: I'm not sure who wrote scholl on the photo. Ceder is spelled wrong too.

Oh this is fun! And it's great seeing such wonderful photos. This is a photo of my paternal grandparents after they arrived in the US from Italy. It's the only photo we have of them together.

Oh, I love seeing all the old photos! Growing up, we moved a lot and my Mom grew to hate packing everything up. So, one of the first things she tossed was photos. As a result, I have NO pictures. Not even of myself. L

Not even of myself. L Oh man. I am so sorry. How awful! I'm the opposite of someone who keeps things (I don't know if it has a name but it's hard for me to have any amount of sentimental attachment to "stuff") but I have boxes and boxes of photos from as far back as they had cameras in my family. I treasure them all.

I love old photos. This is me and my brothers, it's actually a slide so not the best quality. The one in the middle is my oldest brother who died many years ago.

Here is one more - this is my Gammy (Papa's wife) and her older brother Joe. She was the second youngest of 8, youngest of 4 girls (and when you look at more old photos of her brothers - can you say "gangsta"? lol) Her and my Papa were a gorgeous couple! I believe it was her grandparents who immigrated from Italy.

My mother's mother. They were really poor. Every outdoor photo shows dirt for a yard. They were 'dirt poor'!

This is my grandmother (right) with her identical twin sister. She was such a funny, independent woman. I'm honored when people say I'm like her. That's my father in law (right) with Harry Truman. My FIL went to a military boys school and Truman visited. This photo is actually in the Truman museum now.

This is a picture I shared the other day on my FB. My dad is on the left. He was 19 years old and celebrating Christmas in the Korean DMZ in 1966. On the right is my younger DS at age 17. We've always said they look a lot alike but when I compared the smirk on their faces in these two pics I cracked up.

I love this photo of my husband's grandpa. He looks so dashing! http://instagram.com/p/cfIyiIyTDf And I know this isn't quite as old as the others in this thread, but I have to throw in this one, too. Because my dad is *not* dashing in it. (I'm the youngest here, but we ended up with one more girl and then two boys at the end. So apparently my mom, at least, found him dashing.) http://instagram.com/p/ao1A1ySTIY

My maternal grandfather and his sister, in 1949. He was 32 here, and it's the same year he married my grandmother.
