I've done the 30 day shred and it seems that about a week in I end up with foot or knee pain. I was looking at the 21 day fix program and would like to know how it compares to 30DS in intensity, quality of workouts, and results. Has anyone done either or both of these workouts? Thanks in advance.

Interesting you asked this. I just finished up my 4th round of 21DF and this time, I added 30DS. One of each, each day.
I think both are hard, but very effective. I'm on level 3 of the shred. My knees hurt every night but they're fine when I wake up, and I can walk just fine, so I keep going because I am seeing great results. I didn't have that problem with levels 1 & 2. It's the lunge move in 3 that I'm getting used to that hurts but I feel it's getting better so I haven't quit.
The fix always ends in me pulling something in my back but I've got issues that need a chiro. It's nothing major, it just pulls and twinges and again is fine in the am. I feel it's me, not her, lol. Again it's nothing to sideline me so I keep going.
I haven't been this fit in 20 years. I take ibuprofen and keep going. I finally got to the point where my muscles aren't sore anymore from the fix, so that's partly why I added the shred.
Getting ready to move on to the Fix Extreme, and I'll put the Shred on hold until I get used to the new routines.
Sorry this is so long! I think both are effective and I can't say one is better than the other. Definitely the Shred is cheaper. I kind of like Autumn better than Jillian but they're both personable enough.

Thanks. I have seen a lot of 30 DS results pics on MFP and it seems that people have results very quickly. I haven't been able to find many real-life reviews of the 21 day fix so was wondering how they compare. I should probably just stick with the videos I already have, but am also intrigued by the 21 day fix meal plan as well.

The meal plan is easy to get the hang of but it does require willpower and a willingness to give up carbs You don't ever have to be hungry though if you're open to vegetables and more protein. Portion sizes and a balanced diet are made really easy with the containers. There is also a list of fix-approved foods it comes with, lots of clean eating.
