There are so many other ways to be funny without being stupid. I wish the ad people would find one of those.

I hate those goat commercials. Makes me bonkers. Remember that thread about noises that irritate the crap out of you from last week? Yeah, that qualifies as one.

After being subjected to it enough times, it becomes an earworm. "Narwhals, narwhals swimming in the ocean, causing a commotion...." L ETA: For some reason, marketing 'experts' think this kind of things brings in the buyers. But I honestly couldn't tell you who that commercial is for, so the point is totally lost on me. Plus, I HATE whomever it is because of the earworm thing. I must be an odd one I like the Narwhal song and even looked it up on you tube and there is a TEN HOUR version of the song lol. I'll admit I sat and listened to it for about 10 minutes while talking to a friend about it lol. my boyfriend said played the 10-hour loop Narwhal video when he went into the office really early a couple days ago- he said he played it for about 1 1/2 hours!!! (no one else was there yet, by the way... lol!) ETA: now I have that song in my head-- thanks! (I actually don't mind the song, but the same lines, over and over in my head? not so much.)

That's a joke, right? Use the smiley face so people don't think you are weird. I don't care if people think I'm weird. LOL. It's not really a joke. If you've ever had goats you'll know what I mean. Horrible creatures. okay, I know I'm hijacking the thread, but I'm genuinely curious, and have never seen goats except at the petting zoo at the fair, where they look fairly benign (and cute, the small ones)-- what do you mean by 'horrible' creatures? are they dirty, or mean, or what??

They can be aggressive and very destructive. They explore their environment by nibbling it - so everything they can come close to they chew. They need to have at least one other goat since they are herd animals. Finally, unlike typical farm animals, they need attention to be happy. They can be quite aggressive in demanding that attention from humans. I have a friend who added two goats to her small farmyard menagerie. The goal was mainly to get goat milk. They were so hard to keep - destroying the side of the barn, aggressive, escape artists - that they ended up being slaughtered and eaten.

I kinda like Rick the scapegoat. I used his picture in response to a text from DH the other day when he asked who didn't leave the faucet dripping when the temps were cold enough to freeze pipes. "Must've been Rick."

I love the narwhal song but I don't remember what it has to do with the commercial. So I guess it is a marketing fail for me. I found it a while ago and posted it on Facebook just because SO and I are fans of narwhals.

I found it a while ago and posted it on Facebook just because SO and I are fans of narwhals. it doesn't have a THING to do with the commercial-- my BF said he would have had some respect for Sprint (is that the company, even?? I can't remember for sure) if their marketing department had come up with the song, but knowing that they just found the song and chose to use it-- it was a marketing fail for him, too. Me? I just like the cartoon, and the song!! and to @janetr and elaine, thanks for answering my questions about goats-- now I know where the 'stereotype' about them eating everything and anything comes from! I thought I knew a fair amount about animals, having grown up in a small town in a rural area, but there's always something more to learn. (I know enough to know that I couldn't do the amount of work required on a farm, though, that's for sure.)

Horrible creatures. When you put it that way, then your comment is quite funny! I have a feeling that you may have been misunderstood and taken as perhaps being a bit too literal, shall I say biblically/ultra religiously speaking, as in goats are truly spawns of Satan. Tongue in cheek = funny. Literally = a little weird.

I die laughing whenever I see screaming goats. It's so unexpected. First to have a GOAT in someone's office, and then to have them scream. It's so jarring. I'm immature and find it hilarious.

I hate the screaming goat commercials, but I saw the tiniest little baby goats at a petting zoo last week. They were absolutely the cutest things ever. They tried to eat the bunnies' ears. Some of the bunnies got up and walked away, some just ignored them. It was hilarious. I don't think they had any teeth.

They're better than Flo from the Progressive commercials. I have had ENOUGH of her.
