going away and just taking carry on. I want to bring a small kit with me, have any of you ladies ever brought a trimmer in your carryon luggage. I have the fiskars. Not rotary titanium blade.

You probably could get by with bringing the kind with the tiny blade that slides in the track. Anything else, I wouldn't risk it.

I think you can bring tiny scissors. Check the TSA guidelines but Amy Tan had a little travel kit that had scissors.

Scissors w blades less than 4" are allowed. Knitting needles are also allowed--which is positively insane.
