I was wondering, is anyone here joining in on 'Calvinball' over at the Get It Scrapped site?? After hearing about it for years on people's blogs and youtube videos, I finally joined in this year! It should be fun, and hopefully will get me scrapping quicker! It's a challenge that goes on the whole month of March, named after the game Calvinball from the Calvin and Hobbes comic strip (Calvin and Hobbes played this game that didn't have any rules; the rules were made up as they went along).
Calvinball in scrapping is a friendly contest to see who can get the most points for scrapping- there's points for creating pages (mini-books, pocket pages, cards, tags, etc. all count), leaving comments on layouts posted in the gallery, leaving comments on blog posts, bonus points for specific scrapping challenges such as using a template or scraplifting a gallery layout, points for printing photos, etc. It's for digital or paper scrappers, and runs thru Midnight on 3/31 whatever your local time zone is.
Last night, I finished up one 2-page layout and two single-page layouts, one of which had been hanging around for at least 1 1/2 years. If it wasn't for Calvinball giving me a kick in the pants, it probably still wouldn't be finished!
