Has anyone here used the TC Compression items I have seen on the commercials for things like aches and pains in legs, arms joints? If you have used them, tell me if you where happy with them. Did they help with the pains?

My dh was asking me about these also.
I'd love to hear some reviews.

Here's my skeptical opinion:
There aren't any scientific studies that show that wearing copper can help with pain. By scientific, I mean double-blind studies with a large sample and reproducible results.
Copper does have antibacterial properties, so fabric with copper in it will probably be less likely to stink and the wearer might be less susceptible to skin infections.
The compression may help with general aches and pains, but I'd want to consult with a physician if I had long-term pain from overusing my joints.
I'm really big on wanting scientific evidence. There's just too much out there that claims to have certain benefits but it's just the same old snake oil that's been around forever. Heck, when DS had his wrist surgery, the doctor wanted us to get a bone growth stimulator. I had used one when I had my fractured pubis and it did nothing. So, I went online to look for studies to show how effective it was. I found nothing. I asked the doctor if he could point me to some studies on the efficacy of the device and he just told me that DS didn't have to have it. Not even and "I think it would be better for him to have this." That device would have cost us $1200 out of pocket and the doctor was ordering it without any scientific proof that it worked. I kind of hope he looked into it more after I asked the question.

Hennybutton, your thoughts make sense completely. The joint pain is due t over weight, inactive and age. Iuse to do aerobics and lift weights for years, but now I feel like poop. If I try to get started I feel like poop and stop. You know the routine.

I have two. I was skeptical but willing to try anything after being diagnosed with tendonitis and later, arthritis of the right knee and big toes. I also have carpal tunnel syndrome. The copper gloves didn't do anything for me. The knee sleeve actually helps to alleviate some stress of the knee when I am in dance class. I don't wear it as often because I felt like I was relying on it.
